Roberto, yeah, I agreed with a few of the points you made, especially about the ridiculous price they paid for the Topshop brands (even though it went into administration). Personally, they should have paid no more than £50m. I know they have a lot of competition, especially from Primark and TK Maxx, even though prices at Primark have gone up recently. As for the interest expense, it has risen to £73m in 2025 from practically zero six years ago. However, I view this speculation as an arbitrage trade vs. BOOHOO (even though I shouldn't). There is something I need to investigate regarding interest received and interest paid.

Roberto, could you help me understand what's fundamentally wrong with ASOS? (Other than the share price declining) Is there something fishy going on, meaning are there financial account manipulations?

How is it possible that both ASOS and BOOHOO have the same valuation when ASOS's adjusted EBITDA is projected to be £150m and £180m, compared to BOOHOO's adjusted EBITDA being £50m? ASOS continues to produce positive operating cash flow, whereas BOOHOO produces negative cash flow. Even though net debt for BOOHOO (£111m) vs ASOS's net debt of (£186m) is favourable, we must take into account that ASOS is six times larger than BOOHOO. There are two possible reasons for these valuation discrepancies: 1) BOOHOO is overvalued, meaning ASOS is fairly priced. 2). ASOS is talking up their financial position and investors no longer believe what they say.

Some are buying, and some are traders operating in big financial institutions who are hedging, meaning to buy and sell the stock while pocketing the difference in profit (roughly 10% - 20%).

Looking at the massive company hovering over Good Energy, the Dubai-based company is big. I noticed on their financials is their profit magin is huge (something like 50%). In order to achieve this, they need to invest in growing business with huge upside at a decent price.

I think £5.50 per share is a little low for takeover because management rejected a £4 per share takeover in the past. However, I can see a £6 to £7 per share takeover likely. Any higher than £7 per share is a bonus.

Personally, I want this company to grow in size organically so l can enjoy the capital gains and growing dividends payout like Games Workshop.

Still it would make a decent profit. (Average purchase price £2.44)

After that ruling, the motor compensation will likely be around £16bn, the biggest since PPP. Close Brothers must strap in for a rough couple of years or more.

At the moment, it's hard to value the company because, one, their motor finance division will weigh on their business, while they are now contemplating a larger compensation.

She's not even a proven investor! I don't know why people would listen to these "so-called" journalists, who are required to complete articles on a deadline. The real investor does forensic research.

Why did Tinybuild inc share price collapse from £2.10/share on Mar 21 to £0.32/share today, giving the company a cheap valuation of:

P/E: 7 times earnings;

CFO: 3.5 times;

Enterprise value to EBITDA: 2 times.

ASOS is going through major fundamental changes in their business, due to several mistakes made by management in the past. I like the new management mindset. However, the economic environment is impeding the recovery, and management (as always) will try to be optimistic in order to stop the share price from collapsing further.

I expect interest rates to peak at the end of 2023, then massive trouble to begin in the middle of 2024.

With this on the horizon, businesses like ASOS will struggle to grow sales. However, there is a short-term silver lining where the cost of cotton and oil prices have fallen to improve gross margins.

CityWatcher, I thought the same 12 years ago by investing in a solar panel manufacturer, PV Crystalox. Back then I thought these politicians would champion some sort of renewable energy company to lead the green revolution in the UK. Guess what, them c*** UK politicians didn't give a f***. The world politicians and scientists have been talking about climate change and the ozone layer for over 40 years! And no action has been taken. Name the biggest energy company in the world: BP, Shell, Exxon, Chevon, Total, etc. Not a single renewable energy company has over £10bn in revenue a year. It makes me think they're doing it for the PR.

Does anyone know the peak operating profits of all Cineworld's subsidiaries? (Preferably before Covid)

Sometimes the buys are disguised as sells on the LSE, due to personal experience.

Although the license agreement sounds kosher, I tried looking into TheoremRx Inc., whether they can afford to pay Valirx for these milestone payments. Apparently, I couldn't find anything on Google but reading the RNS the second time around, I know why. It's because TheoremRx Inc. is recently incorporated, meaning no one knows who they are.
Given the share price movement today, I can see why it is trading down. If it's with Glaxo or Astra, it would be up 32%, not down 32%!

Here are a few things about LoopUp:

1). Made a ton of business during lockdown, but didn't capitalize on it, or the service wasn't good enough for their clients to become recurring customers.
2). That leads to a lack of recurring customers and lower revenue generation.
3). Acquired a company that does video calls to improve their existing business to compete with Zoom.

That's why the shares got a massive dive from £2 to 25p.

Although I like the acquisition, I don't know management can put two and two together to compete with Zoom.

I won't be speculating till the valuation touches close to £7m.

Rarely does a company's IPO at fair value for retail investors. The owners knew this was a bull market and sold their shares at a hefty premium (so for the owners). Those retail investors that bought in during the first few weeks of their IPO, will probably wait till fundamentals play catch-up with the market valuation. It could be a long wait if the business isn't cash generative (free cash positive), despite the huge ramp-up in their revenue, thanks to their online presence.
Personally, I think fair value is around £2 or less.

The one thing people didn't notice is their outlook. Management is forecasting revenue of £250m to £260m in 2022, and comparing it against 2020's revenue is the catalyst for the share price falling. If they compare it with 2021's revenue it would be a decline of 25%.

Plus, despite the huge jump in revenue, Moonpig's profit barely grew and cash profit fell from 2020. So, there are concerns on whether the business earnings growth justifies its hefty valuation.

To be on the safe side, and pricing in new issues and debt financing, that should be an entry price of speculative investors. Plus, it is to make a sizable profit. Although, I do expect Hurricane Energy to report higher revenue because of the oil price recovery. However, can shareholders stomach another 10bn+ share in new issuances? (To raise £200m cash to refinance their convertible and finance capital investment to increase reserves)
