Hello everybody I heard from Hot the other day ill post up some news tomorrow.

Task your Dax trade you did the best thing . These new margins are vicious particularly on the 50 % close out rule.

You had £12K on margin and probably more. We need to think this through!........ Its suppose to protect us non professional traders! What a joke, its just another way to make the brokers get rich quicker with margin close outs.

It was the first week of the new margins and it could have got you, take care Task maybe your £12k would do better in a share like RDSB Shell with a 5.5% dividend. Ill be reducing my points down for a while to get use to it. We are use to running 4 or 5 positions all at one time, cant do that any more unless you put up £100K and i am not doing that. (Sorry i am ranting ) IQE if its North it has to break above 115 and stay there for a week for me to buy.
If its south ill be a seller at 90 p

Kaz its wierd one big drop Russia etc. It could bounce back but personally i would stay away from it as there are no real techs to help you.

i try to trade only what has some technicality probabilities ( and they dont work some off the time) .

I take it you are long on the DAX then Task ouch but its just put in a bull candle on the hourly if it can break above the last hrly candle you might have a chance. I hope so any way. Failing that it might go down to 12465.

Yes it was bit odd opening it up. I just downloaded the MT4 platform first then had
to try twice before it gave me log in details and 25k in USD (I would have preferred the in GBP but its a demo).

I dont think i got an email just some welcome messages in the mailbox. Welcome message and New account registration containing login details and password . Try clicking on the terminal button and going into mailbox!

Hello Task,hardly been on the markets over the last few days. Picked up 8 points in Short Dax yesterday in 15 mins. Been swimming and chilling in this most amazing weather. Currently sat in the shade under my pineapple tree drinking cold Peroni and eating baby bells . Took another look at MT4 last night and got rid off tge grid and have re - coloured the candles. It's beginning to look a great deal better and I could be a convert . Have you checked out FXOpen yet..... it has servers in the UK . I haven't funded it yet.......I'll just see how fast I can get through the $25k play money . ATB

Hi Task my trade turned totally against me during the night and i got stopped out!! It seem to me that IG always hit my stop. I am sure if i had it at the other side of the moon they would still find it!!

Ive got my head around MT4 but its hardly inspiring, goodness knows why its so popular.

I am using Tradingview now for my charts its free and really good. I am also giving up on IG .and not sure what i will do come the 28th. I see 10 points on the Dax with IG will now require a margin of £6359:00. Even a £1 a point is £639. I might start using that new platform i have the demo with........Any way good trading

Platforms a few hours a ago i opened up a Demo True Ecn account with FXOpen they are an English outfit and based in London ( I think??).......... problem is its that weird meta trader 4 platform MT4 and there is no demo for it
( not a problem for you i know but iv never used it before, no doubt i will get my head around it... they seem to have good reviews. you could take a look I also use IG and CMC but with these new margins close outs etc etc. I am going have to consolidate all funds into one account.

Just picked up another long on USD JPY out for the day now but getting that DAX loss back from last week

Hi task i ve had a good few hours picked up a nice short on gold of the 618 fibo on the 4 hr .

A scalp short on the FTSE.

2 scalps on USD JPY longs............. and a few points short on the AUD USD.

Hi Task I dont do CFD's.. I guess i am paying spread bet prices for/ F/X as its through IG and City Index.

My shares i buy and sell through Jarvis brokers trading as X-O so I only pay £5.95 per transaction .

Yes well done Task I was a pip away from staying in but alas my stop got hit and the rest is history. I sometimes think what a singular occupation trading is..There is no one to ask advice is there? Will try again next week..... On brighter news my P/F has achieved 5% dividend yield across the board. Have yet to work out growth that's more complex but after deducting the dividend income. I do have some growth just not sure how much yet . Good luck all

Hello Task, dont feel stupid.. Dont forget that trading is countra intuitive! That's what makes it so dam difficult. Nobody could have forecasted that chaotic day on Tuesday. Saying that my trading journal is littered with stupid trades I've taken. If I did this as a job I am sure I would have got the sack by now and be wearing a hat with the words Rule Breaker emblazoned across it. lol

Hi Task thats a horrible loss hope you do get the retrace. Ill be jumping on it when it does come. The candles are getting much smaller which is a sign of potential turn.

I think its expiry week this week which addd to the volatility and Friday is square up day, so profit takers could bring it down.. Ill take a look at your link

However the SP is holding up really well so that is the main thing

Hi Task i got badly stopped out at about 10 am at 12780 this morning .

I've had enough of trading for a while specially with the massive increases coming to margins at the end of the month.

So gone off to review my strategy. Good luck
