Task took a short on Silver after the first big spike up on Friday but it kept on going up! .

Managed to get out at 14 00 hrs today at break even........... No other trades on

Hi Task i got well and trully stuffed on both those trades stopped out big-time ............ Testing out new strategies can be costly .....

Slightly mitigated however as i picked up a decent short scalp on oil intraday...... plus a small but well times short on Psn......... also a scalp short on Talk talk nothing major but it alll helped.......... Whats happening today just seen gold up on a giant candle almost 18% up? ( i was shorting it yesterday).......... Indices going madly bullish (except FTSE) currencies reversing all over the place.

So your trading exotics now good luck with that, I tend to stay clear as they have very wide spreads but at least it is an under the radar trade so that a bonus.

Yes came out of AUD NZD with 27 points eventually and was up on the day .... My overnight trades are short AUD JPY and short EUR CHF

Got burnt on Gold for 4 and a half points.
Captured 2 and half points on RR......... Failed on USD JPY long, loss of 15 points.......... Closed one AUDNZD for 20 points profit ........ Still In One AUD NZD short currently up 33 points profit and holding. A combination of different point sizes and platforms but the off shot is i am still up

Hi Task yes you are right i was a bit early on that Aud nzd..... opened it up on two platforms at different times one is 23 points up and the other 15 points up but left it running and its still running.. ( looking for the elusive trend continuation )
I also opened up USD JPY long last night currently 12 point up and still running .

Hi Task if you or i can think of another way we will.......... nice work on your Dax trade and on trend.

I picked up a mini scalp on a short on STAN first hing 3 points.it was a fat finger trade from yesterday so was well pleased as it was luck!
Then this afternoon a mini long scalp on GBP USD 3 points. but been trading AUD JPY since dinner took ages to go but took 12 points across 2 platforms now back in for another go currently at B/E hopefully it will get really going good now.

Hello Task Ill do my best with the heads up and yes its trends i am trying to find and stick with.
I am normally waiting until they are well underway and its still not guaranteed.

Reversals tops and bottoms are always difficult to get right, as we know we get the odd one but!!!!

Ill put some heads up of positions i am trading, normally late evening and i try to enter just before 10 pm and beat the spread increase.

My plan is to start of with the lowest points value and if all goes well and we get into profit move the stops and scale in with higher points and build the position up .

Nothing much happening today as US on holiday........ volume is to crazily low so i am no trading.

Task if you want to give me an email ill give you more information on what i am doing .

Hello Task yes you have made a very important point there . if you can get into the trend and stick with it it pays off.

The difficulty is living with the pullbacks!

If we had got into the DJ long earlier say 4th of January which gave an indication of a uptrend. its carried on since then everyday ( checkout the daily candle )............... Intrarday trading is as we know difficult!!!

I said all the indices were bullish...... the difficulty for trend trading is when it drops a significant amount you need to live with the drop because its still on trend ............ Obviously this isn't an easy thing to do.

You said the DJ doesn't conform well actually it is conforming.......... Its conforming to a bullish trend . ( hope any of this is helpful ) Ps you better get a drive through coffee at Costa and take a hip flask with a bit of whisky in it

Earlier, closed BCA short for half a point ( a profit is a profit ) ............ Just now picked up 10 points on Eur Usd short across 2 platforms.......... Where is that coffee pot?
