The Board of Anglo African Agriculture plc (LSE: AAAP), the London Main board listed food manufacturing and trading company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Matthew Bonner to the role of Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.
Mr Bonner, aged 37, has significant financial leadership experience within the mining, energy and agriculture sectors.
He is currently the Chief Operating Officer at EAS Advisors LLC, a New York based corporate advisory firm focused on supporting public and private companies operating in natural resource and commodity sectors in emerging markets. Prior to joining EAS, Mr Bonner was the General Counsel at BalanTrove Partners, a New York based hedge fund focused on energy, mining and infrastructure.
Mr Bonner has also worked for nine years as a lawyer at Baker & McKenzie and Bowman Gilfillan in London and Johannesburg. In this capacity he advised on domestic and cross border public and private M&A, joint ventures, capital market transactions and project development, spanning five continents focused on emerging markets and the energy, mining, agriculture and infrastructure sectors.
Mr Bonner is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa with a B.A. (English and History) and L.L.B. Mr Bonner is admitted as a member of the New York Bar, a solicitor in England and Wales (non-practising) and an attorney and notary in South Africa (non-practising).
