Trading. No one saw Covid-19 coming but it just the latest in a long line of reasons why. As regards ioxus surely some sort of risk assessment should have been carried out. And I still cant understand why you would be allowed to sell your assets without due regard to pending litigation. Now we have the Maxwell case to look forward to. Could that get messy?. Then we have will all Murata's customers be retained I can see another placing on the horizon. So much uncertainty. Still off again now . Just sad this bad news nudged me to comment

Still we all have our own opinions. As regards Murata while we have bought the kit there is no guarantee that their customers will come with it . Time will tell. As regards AVX while we will never be told I reckon it likely they are paying less than everybody else . See you when the SP is either TEN or TWO

Check this IWGROD. In 16/17 Allenby Buoyant outlook report states total royalty revenue as $0.7m (£369k) and also says that AVX paid second fee in June 17 (£750K) so AVX fee revenue not in Royalty figure
17/18 annual report states total royalties up by 29% on FY 17 to £476k but includes AVX third tranche fee (£250k as I recall so other royalty revenue £476-£250) £216k and therefore down on 16/17
18/19 annual report states royalties up by 6% to £504k but was really an increase from £216k-504k as AVX dropped out
19/20 H1 interims show 18/19 as £301.5k

They don't make it easy for anyone to understand

Great rant Iwgrod. You have list all the reasons that CPX is down at 3p. I think those that have bought in 10s are perfectly entitled to criticise the performance of the company . But Hey Ho I get it all you want to hear are the good things . Well here's news for you so do I (no correction I don't want to hear them I want to see them.

You don't get it do you. Ask why AVX paid up front fees (which were substantial but are now history) yet nobody else has. I would think it reasonable to assume it was because of a reduced ongoing percentage? Ask WIFM. As far as I am aware AK never comments on royalty details and only reports total figures which I repeat according the last figs are worth just £6k a week . Still whatever.

If I am thick at least I know I am thick, whereas you are plain rude but don't have a clue. My figures re royalty increases are correct but as I have said many times before percentage increases were masked by the one off (non recurring) up front fees paid by AVX but no one else. Still I have no wish to continue this dialogue with you, as while IP and royalties are part of CPXs income to date they have not proved to generate any "real money"

Iwgrod According to my calcs from a a base of FY 17 royalties went up 29% in FY 18 and just 6% in FY19, although the FY 19 might appear understated as FY 18 might have included AVX up front fee . It is however still small beer and not rising at any earth shattering rate . Still this year is the year !!

Vanilla I am always sceptical about how much royalties are actually worth to us as it has in recent years remained at about 20% of total income, so important but not that important (in financial terms). In recent years we have gained TDK, AVX and more recently CDE but now we have lost Murata and Ioxus remains to be seen and Tesla well that is sometime away. To me the really import mat thing is CPXs own sales and in the absence of nay real meaningful update we can only hope that the new equipment and personnel will deliver

However, it looks like they'll make their first profit by end of year results 2020 which is from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020 for CAP-XX.
