Re: the price the investor paid, I doubt this investment was arranged overnight - 3.5p could well have been a premium when the investor approached the company.

Not completely clear though is it. This part definitely refers to a singular, although could be a group/consortium:

We're definitely due an update though, on all three aspects.

Worth noting that the company has given no guidance or expectations for the MRE, and there has been little speculation on it from the brokers.

So imo the stage is set for a pleasant surprise.
