Confirmation that Calvert exercised its option over the ex-directors shares.

The placing was last week, but I don't think this is drifting due to that. Its just a lack of clear visibility on price-enhancing newsflow causing some bored holders to slice some off and look for short-term opportunities elsewhere. I expect there will be buying support around the placing price (35p) though.

Just done a search on Investegate and this is the one and only TR-1 RNS mentioning either Simon Casson or Barbara Herve, so he's not a serial large investor.

Looks like a cynical mark-down towards the placing price, even though it is 5p higher than expected. Only 'negative' if you can call it that in today's RNS that I can see is the placees get an extra 5 months on their warrants than us. 1750mk1, I guess by meaningful they mean in £ terms?

No I don't know that for sure. What I'm saying is I don't think the absence of an RNS necessarily means they haven't exercised. I guess we'll find out in due course.

In fact on that basis you could say they would need to issue an RNS if the DIDN'T take up the option.

That's a different option Derfel. The had an option to buy 1.6m from an ex-director until 31/1/17 (see RNS on 23/12). riskassessor, I original assumed they would have to issue an RNS if they took up the option as their holding would increase through a % point, however - if you look at the holdings RNS on 28/12 for Calvet, it already shows the call option as an interest in section B and this is included in the total % of voting rights at the bottom of the RNS (18.02%). So technically they wouldn't need to issue an RNS as this figure wouldn't change, the option would just move from section B to section A.

And there's the reason, 25k and 50k buys filled this morning.

Just 1k shares available at the full offer. No point trying to trade in and out of this while we wait for news.

Interesting that the MM on the bid moved DOWN when that buy happened. Trying to shake out stock to fill it perhaps?

Not sure I see your point? Being a broker and NOMAD doesn't necessarily mean they will become a market maker on the stock. Most brokers and NOMADs are not also market makers for a start. So this is not a common situation. Anyway its good that we now have an additional MM as (in theory) it should improve liquidity.

Panmure Gordon are also the NOMAD..

Just noticed a new MM has started trading MCC today - PMUR (Panmure Gordon). Not sure whether we can read anything into that or not?
