Ah a romantic idealistic idea of recycling that unfortunately isn't true in the real world,
We've had recycling for decades yet we're swamped with plastic and landfill, why is this? Because recycling is bullshit.
What PHE and others are attempting to do are create a real solution that works in the real world not just in the dreamy heads of young hippies.

The main advantages vs incineration which merely gets rid of the plastic, is that with the DMG process the plastics are actually converted to useful products; being highly clean syngas, hydrogen, electricity, heat or other products depending on requirements. In this way 95% of the energy put in is recovered. I believe carbon is captured and filtered out but not sure on that point.
Shipping off waste to China has recently been outlawed by the Chinese I believe.

You might be right ad although I dispute the point about loading heavy objects onto the rig affecting cost, assuming you mean energy used to transport it doesn't make a difference which vessel the weight is on the same weight overall is being moved.
