The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
Selling at sub-10p now, back to where we started before the bid announcements. Nothing at all priced in for a bid possibility despite supposedly no less than 3 interested parties including 2 huge Chinese players. Bonkers!
Lots of posters never seen before or not seen for 6 months+ have turned up playing 'hot and cold'. Hmm..
I guess that's the problem with providing so much detail to investors - someone will always find some detail however inconsequential to nitpick. Other companies would simply have reported the 11% increase in gold production.
All of that was in the RNS Rich, I remember reading about the unsafe bit of ore etc.
I think there was some detail on that in the most recent InvestorMeet presentation. There was definitely stuff about production at NGLM after the crown pillar is done.
Market maker
Time for Mr Leslie Snr to be sent to a home perhaps, let son take care of the stock portfolio from now on.
He's getting on a bit - maybe going senile?
Yes he has sold some of his holding recently
Just for interest:
Guangdong = Eastern light
Shandong = Eastern mountain
Yintai = In time
TWO
Let’s look at it logically. Have the board risked theres and Shanta’s entire reputation inventing a pump so that Mr Leslie can make a few £100k?
Or are there genuinely 3 interested bidders and a stale long term holder has taken the opportunity to release a bit of capital? I know which sounds more sensible to me.
He could have been selling bits here and there for months or years for all we know. His position didn't need to be disclosed before the bid approaches as below 3%.
It's the deadline for potential bidders to either put up or shut up, and any that pull out will not be able to bid again for 6 months afaik.
Aye the market never hands you money on a plate without a bit of struggle. The weak will lose out.
Can't see it myself given they raised approx $13m in April (at 13.5p), so simply no need to raise at current depressed prices. If they do raise again in the near term it will be opportunistic on the back of San Domingo results and therefore at a much higher price.
NT only on the offer again. Wonder if we should expect some news next week as not normally this hard to buy.
Yes I clicked on 'Accept' and it went to a page with the heading 'Documents' with 'documents go here' under it.
They obviously are expecting offers if they have created this page already.
Hopefully all the plums selling today are about to learn a lesson
But best of luck in your p & d
