No it's not just you that thinks that.

I share your views. Balderton seemingly missing. QIA seemingly missing also and then a rush job on a placing at year lows - and no shareholder vote on it all.

Surely you would have thought they might have tested the market first to see what interest there was in taking Ingenuity private - and receiving the best returns for shareholders. Could have perhaps appointed bankers to court a best deal?

It'll be interesting to see how things play out if a better rival offer gets made.

Nutrition for definite was what they were initially suggesting was the jewel in the crown and along came Apollo for it, Beauty and Ingenuity. Then instead of selling it to any one of 4 bids, somebody decided to do a rebrand. The rest we know.

Read their most recent Strategy update and Interims RNS for what their new strategy is.

Seemed to move up 5% today on not huge volume. 1.3Mill. Tightly held stock that one.

Makes you wonder what they are plotting with their new SPAC Selkirk Group? Is it as Betaville suggests their bid for one of NCC's businesses to back the sale proceeds they should be receiving soon from another bid which NCC agreed, or will they turn their attention here with Private Equity backing?

MM's investment in Kelso seems to be doing far better over there than anything he is achieving with the share price here.

You'd have to chuckle if they gazumped on Ingenuity. "My dogs got more" and all that...

Magnum.PI, they are only paying the rent for those parts of the premises that are used - which is fair enough. So only pro rata on what Beauty and Nutrition use. Remainco will not be paying the rent of any Ingenuity use.

What's stopping MM taking another division private? I suspect if he had the bucks he would have taken Ingenuity private himself.

Still personally think there's a much better deal to come on Ingenuity.

I'm certainly not desperate Novice but I would like to see shareholders get fairest value for both Ingenuity as well as Remainco THG. I'm just saying it how I see it and I do also genuinely think Kelso and others will be seeing it similarly.

It doesn't take me too long to think back to when news was previously leaked of THG considering a US listing and how on an analysts call nothing was done to dispel that. In fact the flames were fanned the that all THG divisions accounts were US ready!!

Present deal, although it should unlock really good value, just seems a mile away from that and also previous bids.

Better one emerges with the optionality to roll over and it seems a proverbial no brainer people would opt for it.

Redacted, yes they turned down better offers twice and that's because the BoD thought they could do better. 18 months on and Share price wise they haven't though, shareholder pressure is there and I suspect many would snap the hand off Apollo if it came back and offered anywhere near previous.

For once MM has had to put his cards on the table and show his cards with this proposed deal but it's hard to argue that it can't be improved upon, especially when everyone knows Apollo valued THG Ingenuity at "significantly higher" than 65p. It was Moulding who told us that.

The present deal I have no doubt will unlock value for both Newco and Remainco but there is so much middle ground in between on the present value attributed to Newco, whats been spent on it and what it would be worth to another interested party. Why do you think some are more than happy to soak up anybodys shares not wishing to elect into Ingenuity?

THG is at it's most vulnerable for Bids between now and placing completing imvho..

Provided a nice opportunity though on Bp. and here given the world as it is.

It only needs to gazump the present deal terms monetarily speaking and offer the same ability to rollover or elect.

Then ask yourself which way everyone would cast their vote.

Given this mornings market cap, the size of todays demerged sale eclipses for £300M EV eclipses that considerably, clears all group debt, contributes to pension and leaves a tidy sum moving forward and with the other side of the business, its a subdued reaction.

That's markets for you.

CPI print tomorrow so lets see if it green lights some further BoE interest rate cuts.

I have to agree with you on that one.

The real risk here at these levels imvho is an upside risk of a rival offer for Ingenuity.

PE could easily table an offer without the debt and in all probability the placing monies also.

Would've been nice if they had mentioned a cash distribution to patient shareholders but I didn't see that.

Don't be surprised if it hits top of the range and then rises to £500M market cap, perhaps more, then on first signs of weakness or at a designated point, acquisition or otherwise) it then gets hammered down.

It really does show how undervalued THG Nutrition is and THG whole and it's good to know we are ahead of the game with some of the worlds FMCG brands like Muller, Kellogs I think coming, and with most of the UK's top supermarkets (Tesco again last night, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Boots, WH Smiths) It'll cost them a lot of time, money and staffing to get anywhere near us.
