RE: Love a conspiracy..21 Apr 2019 18:54
I wish Mike, I honestly really do wish.......
I had a strong suspicion. My suspicion was right. Simple as that.
Post on 25 Jan was based on 24 Dec 2018 RNS which stated "In this respect our Chairman, Sir Tony Baldry, and CEO Peter Fowler, have recently returned from Africa having progressed discussions on one of our long-term airport security project opportunities. Contracts have been drafted and we anticipate providing a further update in the new year. "
In my view, the CEO and Chairman don't go out to Africa together just to hold each other's hands. Similar to the 22 Dec 2017 RNS which stated "Chairman and CEO, have just returned from an extended visit to the country concerned and all but a few more minor commercial and contractual issues have now been agreed." but which subsequently transpired at the AGM that they were out there trying to get it signed before they returned home, it seemed quite logical to me that the pair of them had flown out to try and finalise something. Clearly if there had been two sets of signatures they would have announced contract signed. They didn't. Hence a strong suspicion there was one set of signatures on it.
The devil is in the detail when you look. In fact you've impressed me so much with that I might even enroll you to Gibbo's undercover ops team ;-)
Joking aside it would be great to meet up with you again. I know you are a genuine holder (if I recall we had a long chat at the 2017 AGM) and it would be good to chew the fat over a beer or two with you. Please give me a shout at only1gibbo@aol.com
I genuinely understand your frustrations, I think we'd all be lying if we said we didn't share them, but deep down I really do think (in fact I actually do know) PF is working his nuts off trying to get one or more of these deals over the line. I also understand what your intensions are, but just don't agree that it is the right way to go about it at the moment..
Let me give you something else to think about. You're concerned about the number of Fowlers on the payroll. I disagree, I think it is a good thing. If this goes tits up, it's not just PF out of job, but a lot of his family too. That is what I call real incentivisation to make this a long term success.
Look forward to hearing from you Mike.
