Not good reading.
Brussels has said it expects EU gas demand to fall by more than its total imports from Russia this year.
In a document presented to the European Commission on Wednesday, seen by the Financial Times, energy commissioner Kadri Simson said the gas-saving measures were expected to cut EU consumption by a further 60bn cubic metres in 2023 “which is more than the gas volumes we still foresee to import from Russia in 2023, both pipeline and LNG”.
The commission introduced a series of emergency laws last year designed to cut energy use and wean the bloc off Russian imports.
The document noted that gas prices had also recently fallen “closer to historical ranges” after reaching highs of €300 per megawatt hour last August but there were “some risks remaining that will need to be carefully monitored”.
Dinghies I’d be very disappointed with 3.5p per share. At present there are still more questions than answers and I think we can make a better judgement once we have absolute clarity on flow rates and financials - namely when will debt be paid down fully and more detail on opex.
I also hope the LSE interview was the first of many and RH also stated we’d have a strategic update in June.
An awful lot to look forward to and 3.5 may be achieved before any suitors arrive.
Extremely well put James and I’ve always said MC can realistically reach 350-500m in time. My only worry is that they sell up too early. Whilst the recent interview was to the point, yet inspiring, on so many levels, the statements that stood out most to me were the last ones. RH effectively stated coke and make us an offer. I am 100% sure that we will be hearing about approaches in the coming months, if not weeks.
I think the last question was the most pertinent and I loved the answer. We are open but you’ll have to pay. I am reading more in to that and think we are soon to hear more on the subject. Clear also that tomorrow pre open RNS on the connection of 3 wells.
I don’t see it as speculative now StarBright. Completely derisked with the successful sidetrack. Flow rates not critical as it’s same reserves so anything above 9mm is excellent short term cash flow to pay off debt and invest in the southern lobe.
My portfolio currently approx 10% cash, 20% BTC and 70% ANGS, such is my confidence of a multiple bagger here.
