Many people pin their hopes on the new CEO - myself included - in getting us out of this mess caused (mostly) by The Incompetents, aka BoD.

But can he do that?

Yes, he is more intelligible that JM, and yes, he seems to have the right ideas and drive but is that enough?

Time will tell but I have my reservations. Being member of QED BoD is a dream job, regular income without any results or expectations.

It is beyond belief the thick skin they have by continuously moving deadlines and then candidly lying to the people paying their wages.

Will the CEO make a difference or simply join the BoD in their current strategy, 'jam tomorrow'?

This is what happens at AGM if things are the same as now:

1. They will update the deadlines with imaginary dates in the next Q's next year.

2. We will press with the same questions.

3. They will give the same evasive answers.

3.a. Maybe some BoD members might fall asleep. LOL.

4. END OF AGM.

No matter how much more expesive shipping will become the shippers will pass the costs to clients and they will still make a profit. So that's not a reason for shippers to look at MSAR.

Only if IMO + Governments will stick a cattle prod up the shippers backside by enforcing strict rules will make QED & MSAR relevant.

Obviously that won't happen with that clown in the White House.

1. Please define 'short term' and 'long term'. 5 10, 10 years?

We all entered QED at different times so these definitions cannot be applied across board. I have been here since 2009 and to me this is long term and way, way overdue. Please don't ask why and I don't sell and move on; I have my reasons.

2. You say you are 'not scrutinising every deadline' and yet you are here every day and reply to every post, so your statement contradicts your routine and behaviour.
