Hawkey47, why does the amount per item vary from office to office? Surely it should be the same? It rather flies in the face of the "one price goes anywhere" ethos of the USO...lol

If you had done your research you would know that we are in the middle of the biannual ****ing contest between RM and CWU.
Even if IA goes ahead, how much business do you predict that RM will lose?
The CEO has already stated that any reduction in headcount will be done by"natural wastage" and has ruled out VR as a consequence.

Scamp, my prediction for 2020 is a return to the floatation price of £3.33 by the end of March 2020 but only if a Brexit deal is finalised.
As the SP is currently ridiculously low I can't see IA having a massive impact, plus the impetus of IA will be lost after Christmas anyway. It may have been a different case if the SP was over £5.
In the meantime I can only see fluctuations between £2.00 and £2.40 due to the market uncertainty.
Anyway, that's my take. Of course I may be totally wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but if I could predict the future......

Feline, the system users usually find a work around when scrutiny comes to town.
Hopefully we are tightening up on the contracts though. My previous office were still paying IBM for a payroll mainframe contract 8 years after we stopped using it!

Feline, I have been using the SAP/Ariba system since 2003 (before that we were using local order books!). When budgets get squeezed the business always applies scrutiny to purchase orders and the cutoff for approval has been as low as £250 before (that was the year that we were banned from purchasing basic stationery items between New Year and April) so I'm not surprised to hear that you are busier.
Personally, I find that if you keep your order value below £250 it is rarely challenged and I have been known to produce several purchase orders for the same thing on the same day to avoid approval.

Perhaps Boris will take his bill, shove it up Corbyn's (insert orifice of choice here) and go for a late November or early December election as he will almost certainly win with a decent majority. I fully expect the SNP to complain...lol

It now looks like we may be offered a "flextension" until 31st of January.
