Latest RNS shows Lindsell Train have just acquired 5%. Nick Train is no mug. I think his buying has supported the recent price rise. I don't now expect much if any price growth in the short term but as a long term investment I think this is a pretty good bet.

Share buy back is going to ramp as well.

The other stand out point from today's announcement is that they have $515mil in the bank. This is more than a third market cap. Dividends and share buy backs will accelerate.

The current SP gives a PE of 10 based on last years results. Last year was characterised by unusually low volatility. This year will be the opposite. EBITDA for the first quarter is already 20% higher than the whole of 2019 so the forward PE is about 2 on current levels. Remember volatility in Q1 only really picked up in March so Q2 could actually be even better.

EBITDA up 1,863% i.e 18.6 times on Q1 2019!
Revenue up 487% against Q1 2019 and 230% against last quarter.
I don't know what the market expected but that is way more than I expected based on IG's performance.

Plus gives it's trading update next Tuesday. Something to look forward to over the weekend.

This year is going to be a record for market volatility as the effects of the virus will take a long time to become clear and in the second half of the year we have US elections. You can't predict where the market will finish but for PLUS its going to be massive whatever the outcome. As they pay out all profits in Dividends or Share buy backs its very reassuring to have this in my portfolio.

I would expect at some point this year it will get back to 2018's high of £20 as it levels of profitability should more than match that year.

Maybe they temporarily halted the buy back to let the directors get in at a lower price?

If you look at their last annual report they had annual rental payments of approximately £10.5mil. So they have plenty of cash availability for that. Their online sales is still open and I would expect they are doing quite well at the moment.

Another good set of results bang where I expected. No significant impact from the virus and I expect this company to do very well long term. Who knows what happens short term to the share price but the company it's self is in great shape.

It's hard to imagine a company that would benefit more than Plus500 from this period of exceptional market volatility. I'm very happy that I managed to pick these shares up today at a substantial discount.

I've been out today to panic buy Gin and Fevertree tonic. If I had to self isolate for 14 days I'm all set! Long term the effect of this virus on Fevertree is close to zero.

Fundsmith's AGM is indeed fantastic, helped by the free bar before hand! I've been to the last 4. Alas, as the Smithson AGM starts at 1pm and includes all the usual voting etc its unlikely to be quite as much fun. Nevertheless it will be good to hear Simon Barnard's presentation and have a pint afterwards.

Thanks nen2319. I do read the the monthly fact sheets but wondered what they did at year end. Answer is they have the annual report which includes a wealth of information and they are having an AGM in London on 30 March which I intend to go to. Overall I think this fund is doing well and I took advantage of the recent dip to buy more. Wouldn't be surprised if more opportunities exit in the short term to buy cheaply.

The whole market is down today. I took advantage to build my stake at a great price.
