I must admit I was not present at the sampling so do not know what was being chipped. Quartz vein? Local Rock/Slate?

I have yet to read anywhere about there being background gold being found outside of quartz veins.

Is the 'background' the local strata? I dont know.

Is it the general gold level in the quartz veins? I do not know.

Or is it the localised concentrated gold bearing quartz vein areas referred to as 'bonanza'. I do not know.

I think we can all agree, we dont know unless it is made very clear what was sampled.

I tend to be a negative optimist. A blast may target quartz vein but not find a conentrated area of gold. We all know it is not evenly distributed in the correct veins.

The blast has reminded me of a film where people were blowing up a safe and I think they distributed the paper money to the 4 winds. Or am i dreaming? I am sure others will know the film, comedy sketch? Peter Sellars? If you know put me out of my misery

I of course do not believe that Alba blast will do anything as rediculous as the film but it was the connection between blast and getting rich.

I thought Green Hydrogen is produced from electrolysis of water? I think sea water but may not be correct. Unless you know that the electricity is to be produced by Natural Gas then the assumption you make may be wrong. I wonder why Koln?

Yes it has massive potential for Shell who, I think have 100% with 30% 'free' from Deltic.

My point is nobody wanted to farm in for production costs and windfall tax, at 30% on offer from Deltic. If I am wrong, I dont mind. If there are flaws in my reasoning, I dont mind. But do not tell me something I did not say. Shell holders will no doubt benefit.

Selene, with proven gas as yet unknown, should be attractive for Deltic or farm out especially the new owner of Bacton Terminal.

I dont know how other people think or why they act in the way they may have with Pensacola. A big loss to Deltic but it may have been far to big to handle so they cut their losses. Who knows? Only Deltic

I am still hopeful though with my meagre amount of shares that I can afford to lose.

Gafg - for 30% nobody wanted it for production. Which I assume means a hefty tax burden but dont know implications of profit tax.

Having 100% is obviously better.

Shell's focus on upstream which I assume does not include extraction may mean they may sell but could produce/extract.

Selene will be very interesting. I do not believe it is sold yet to the taker of existing shell extraction sites.

Just my farthings worth.

So Shell may look to sell Selene especially as the Bacton Terminal is/will be sold? Good for Deltic, hopefully.

In light of recent experience there is also the option/chouce/outcome:

Inability to farm out because industry knows of recent failure, and hand back to Shell and Dana.

Not an option I want but may happen even with success.

In the same vein, it is possibly better then chasing the vein.

It is a free world at least until November but

Perhaps a more appropriate venting place would be to contact the CEO, say that he has to have shareholder value as one of his priorities and you are disappointed. But of course any exploration, production and profit making exercise is time dependant and fraught with challenges.

Venting on this board may be useful to yourself but has no influence on anyone here but you could vent in an open field on a sunny day and it will make you feel better. Vent to the CEO may at least get a useful response.

A heart attack or stroke is no good to anyone.

Buy cheap on what may appear to be good news, sell and make small profit. The pattern of a few large buys always worries me coz they can come back to bite you if you buy in mid rise or top.

Parkmead Relinquishment report for Blackadder ( and with Pharos comments ) dated December 2022 makes interesting reading on why 2 blocks were released.

4 important points:

1. No farminee could be obtained

2. Pharos had a drill hole 47/05d by DANA??

3. Blackadder heavily faulted which may affect reservoir quality

4 Pharos is suggested to suffer poor porosity and permeability

Maybe I have misunderstood your comment. But its a free lunch with all drill costs, so why rock the rig.

After they find what is hopefully expected then Deltic can put a few digits up and sell to whoever. Unless contract says otherwise, which I know nothing about or understand.

Still can not understand why a contract would say, in my words, if you cant pay your half of costs then we get to grab the license for nothing.
