HI operastar thanks for the debate regarding Japan i believe we are supplying a downgraded version of the AR 1500 TO produce 0.5 mw so not giving to much tech away as we can manufacture a turbine of 3.1 mw for next stage of Meygen along with that the cable laying which will include the subsea hub for linking turbines of which we have a patent and manufacture and on land substation tech.
Regarding NOX CO AND CO2 from USP we are working with the latest BAT EU regs for power stations and not incinerators so that is for NRW to decide. regarding the production of pellets very interesting also. We have a few options and i would like to think we will go down the EFW route for that also. Sure we will hear news on that soon.

Operastr regarding uskmouth I used to be along the same line of thought but What changed my mind about UPS was when I stopped looking at it as just a fuel.
I now see it as a way of getting rid of plastics with the benefit of providing power wood pellets are fine but they are chopping down forests if every country adopted that policy it would be disastrous also wood straw etc is biodegradable so not an issue like plastic
Incinerators get rid of waste but the energy recovered from them is minimal chemical recovery of plastics also looks a good option but again it will only solve a bit of the problem Subcoal PAF will be a new fuel in its own right no one has done it before in power stations

Regarding Tidal patents they have indeed got quite a few however I am not too sure how defendable they are. But I am sure that the data that they have gained in the last few years is far more important.
The four turbines in Scotland have been monitored 24/7 for the last few years and to the best of my knowledge no other company has that data for turbines of that size as such we are a world leader.
Regarding N+P subcoal again many patents but the fuel pellets SAE and N+P have developed for the use as a direct substitute for coal has taken many years and a very large financial investment a patent has been filled but again the research and knowledge is far more important
