Current situation is all yards are busy
Without a doubt we are banking on or relying on Shipbuilding strategy contracts and offshore floating wind fabrication contracts both of which will be high value and long term. Very hard to take on any medium term contracts inbetween ?
Would love to know what has happened to the good tug Venture lol

Looking at the jobs available BP I would like to think they have recruited enough welders which seemed to be the main priority.
Have also noticed some white collar workers have left which I feel was a necessity.

“ Oil tanker drydocking x3 (£15m total) – H&W recently completed emergency repair work worth c£1m for one of this client’s vessels. H&W is now in advanced discussion with the company to undertake a drydocking (eg full survey, repairs and maintenance, and some upgrade work) for three of the company’s oil tankers next year.

Very pleased to report that more than 70 delegates from 51 companies gathered for the first in the series of Team Resolute ‘Meet the Buyer’ events held on Monday in Devon. Team Resolute (a consortium of Harland & Wolff, Navantia, S.A., S.M.E and BMT) delivered a series of presentations providing the supply chain companies attending with the opportunity to understand more about the Team, the FSS programme and other long term opportunities.

In the afternoon, more than 12.5 hours of 1-2-1 sessions were held with Team Resolute procurement specialists. The event series continues at venues across UK until the end of the month.
