RE: Leave13 Mar 2019 11:38
GIT. What tosh. I don't think a million is a small majority. If it had been remain do you think we would have been allowed a second vote? I saw the ballot paper. 17.4 million people did not see anything about a deal. It was in or out. It is that view, yours, as to why 17.4 million people voted leave (not other options provided). Arrogant, the 'we know best attitude'. The problem was not the Brexiters (useless toss pots) it was years of MPs and Brussels eroding democratic process. Please tell me what remain means? I know what leave means, but have yet to hear a remainer tell me what remain means. I have read a significant amount of the Lisbon treaty, it is horrific. So bad even the Irish said no, but guess what...the EU forced them to vote again. Oh, the Dutch too. If the Lisbon treaty was so good why did Gordan sign it after hours and via the back door. If you want remain, then we need to remove parliament. We have no need for one. They become an administrative body. Works for me. The EU is corrupt. When did you last vote for your MEP , most people don't even know who their MEP is. Junker was the only name on the ballot paper. EU law is based on Napoleonic values, UK law is based on common law and reasonableness. That is why we cannot expect the EU to be reasonable. I voted leave not for the NHS (fooking mess), not for immigration (I like Europeans and consider myself Europeans), but because I believe in the Nation state and sovereignty. Actually immigration issues will not go away if we leave, far from it. I am educated up to my eye balls, but some seem to think I am ignorant...interesting. The EU washes money. EU breaks its own rules. EU is broken, and it knows it. All empires fail, why do you feel the EUSSR is any different? Anna Soubry sums up the remain body. Wants a second vote on Brexit but won't stand for re-election. Apparently a by election would not be in her voters interest. Hypocrite. I don't like the word Brexit. Never have. Leave have made a mess of this because the top of the tree is full of remainers....that should tell you enough in itself, as a number of you are here saying how much you hate them. A second vote may well lead to civil unrest and a huge democratic deficit, more than we have now. However, smaller parties and more of them could rise out of the ashes...I hope so. They are all a mess and I wouldn't let them look after a school gerbil over the Easter break. GIT, I do hope you get the hypocrisy of saying we need a second vote because that would be democratic. Shall we go for best of 3? Or just keep going until you get the answer you want. Interesting democracy that. I await someone telling me what remain means.
