AIUI, if you sell shares held in your ISA, the money you receive will appear in your ISA account and can be used to buy OO shares. These shares will remain in your ISA and will not affect this year’s ISA entitlement. If you take the money out of your ISA account then it can only be re-added using this year’s allowance.
Anybody who cannot afford to buy into the OO should sell some shares today so that they can afford to buy in the OO. I’m with Halifax and they tell me that the total cost of the OO shares that I can buy is simply the number of shares multiplied by 15p i.e., there is no commission and no stamp duty.
