The SP on this will follow the recovery, so 35p is on the cards for the short term, the rest depends on how fast the recovery happens. The group as a whole has restructured behind the scenes for slimmer overheads, refitting its stores and have a good renage of products. A good autumn of good new products will help immensly. Lots of positives. The sale is supposed to be getting rid of the rubbish, but has not gone far enough. Negatives are the stocking levels, the dreadful buyers, and now the top 50 stores are not starting their refits until just before peak, and a prolonged recession. TheFallen's comments are not worth noting.

Nothing - anything that will affect the SP should be released prior to any AGM. Shocking stock levels at the moment - really rocking my confidence. Promo lines not enough stock. Too much stock of rubbish (and rising so 1234 is not working), too little stock of biggest margin lines, empty shelves on August bank holiday just 1 day in??? Shocking. If these guys don't get the buyers in line damned quick we won't make the best of the Autumn great points.

Could one of you chartists have a quick look at this one for me? Its very quiet on here and iii on this share but on ADVFN BB's they sem to have caught onto this one. One of the guys there was saying that there is no more resistance until 300.00. Would that be correct or fanciful? Offline until tonight as I'm on course all day.... bah!

They are bouncing off the walls about this share on ADVFN BB's whereas here and iii they are relatively dead! I do not understand the lack of interest in this share.

You have to give this guy his due, ramp or not, the manner he has handled this share, ACTA and STF is very admirable.

I am certainly no expert in the slightest, and an answer from Keepitsimple would be far better advice. As my simple intelligence sees this share the reason of its fall from 280 to sub 100 has been overcome and that rating was for an exploration company which had secured exploration rights. Now its a producer and recovering in SP without hardly any PI coverage (see how quiet this BB is). All the production is lovely but the recent RI will have diluted the original price so 280 no longer applies (as an explorer) The difficult part is that it is now a producer and will be tied to Russian Gas / Oil prices and the political pressures therin. In the mid term it will be tied in with the sucess of developing a deep well Grafovskaya#1 (G#1) and a drilling rig LEWCO-450t is being assembled at the wellsite. It is expected that drilling will commence in September 2009. As always the usual cop out of DYOR, but a note of caution, I am but a novice.

not always friend - PDF made it to 4th most popular topic about a month ago and there were no rampers there then. There was some very good posting and it attacted a lot of attention then a small retrace IMHO. STWAL1005 - a lovely lady (boredmum) once told me that once you have a profit, that I must not be afraid to take it. Set your own targets and stick with it. Wonderful advice I have not forgotten. I tend to hold to that advice in my own style by placing generous stop-losses when I'm not around to babysit the share, and it works for me. I am also not afraid of taking "Nakedtraders" advice of selling on a 10% loss to prevent the lock-ins. Its working for me now and ramp surfing suits me just fine :-). But then again I have investments and slow burners as well!

Get used to the different posters and what they post. None of the Premium posters are rampers, so at least they can be trusted. There are a few that can be trusted on Regular chat, but make sure you trust your own research over that of people you do not know. However I have made some great money surfing the ramps. I have a few rules that I set myself, like never buying after 8.30, and manically researching to make sure the ramp is based on a safe company with good prospects. I tend to only "cherrypick" the ramps and I miss out on quite a few. However when I started out I did get caught by buying at the top of the ramp and was locked in for months and months. I would advise avoiding the ramps at all costs until you are thoroughly used to it. Have a look on STF, ACTA, and PXS to see "professional" rampers in action. :-)

How frustrating! I did get back in before the last rise, so I am happy again. However if your research looks like my own I see little downside on this share below 300 (in time) other than if their deep well turns out to be a duster! I'm happy to hold this one at the moment and I hope your funds get released to get in also.

I’m going to try here instead!  At the risk of sounding patronising, here is a short history lesson on what has gone on in the past with VGAS (not complete and any further information willingly accepted). Volga Gas is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company. It has 100% interest in two Russian companies, Pre-Caspian Gas Company ("PGK") and Gasnefteservice ("GNS") which hold four licenses to explore for and produce oil and gas in the Volga Region. Its first fields were based in Vostochny Makarovskoye and have a producing Gas well, although subsequent wells have failed to give the promised gas flow. A sharp fall in SP from 280 to sub 100 was instigated when court proceedings were brought over its licence of the Karpenskiy Licence area, but subsequently dropped.
