Dave Tapolczay and CPI do not appear in major shareholders as of 16 July 2020 so the overhang has gone, which is possibly reason for share price starting to move up over the last few days.

Nuformix have said they are currently evaluating their NXP002 fibrosis drug for the treatment of COVID-19. Emerging academic data suggests coronaviruses can trigger hyper-inflammation through activation of the biological target known as the NLRP3 inflammasome, making this a potential novel drug target to treat COVID-19. The mechanism of NXP002 can interact directly with NLRP3, blocking the assembly of the inflammasome. Whilst this still requires clinical validation, we intend to explore the commercial potential of this attribute of our drug.
Our focus is now on the development of a formulation and delivery process that exploits the optimal means to treat fibrosis of the lungs, through nebulisation of the drug to facilitate inhalation by the patient. We are considering a number of inhalation devices that would enable rapid and deep penetration of the drug into the lungs with a view to evaluating them further. Nuformix’s NXP002 programme remains the Group’s priority.

So nice to hear what we have been saying for a while AND since NXP002 is a cocrystal variant of Tranilast, an already proven safe fibrosis drug, it could very easily be fast-tracked for patient use. Looking good.

I think Aberdeenman’s comments about things moving fast with the new board was spot-on. Hold on to your hat. Hopefully all good. We shall see.

Just checked 5 day intraday prices for nfx on google and it shows the following for yesterday:
3.65 at 09.30.
4.10 at 10.00.
4.30 at 10.30.
4.21 at 11.00.
So based upon the trade times and prices for the 5 trades , only now shown today, being as follows:
10.08 at 4.00 for -500k
10.08 at 4.12 for 1.6m
10.19 at 4.125 for -500k
10.37 at 4.20 for -500k
10.47 at 4.35 for -100k
Surely these are buys , not sells, that have been aggregated otherwise they would have been at a lot lower price and not at the top end of the trade prices for yesterday, especially with this size trade.
Just my thoughts based upon data available for yesterdays trading.

I contacted company by email - so their reply was very quick and by email.

I have received confirmation from the company that financial results will be provided in July and will be accompanied by updates on their pipeline.
So this week or next week.

The company appears to have two drugs (nxp002 and nxp004) with tremendous potential and yet there is hardly a peep out of them as to that increasing potential either on their website, in the industry or in the media.
The article in the Journal of Immunology about the possible benefits of Tranilast for covid induced fibrosis was interesting, as lots of patients have to stop Tranilast due to its severe side effects. It is one of several pieces of data that have highlighted fibrosis in covid patients and the need for anti-fibrosis drugs.
So surely the much superior efficacy and almost zero side effects of nxp002 compared to the current Tranilast is something that should be shouted from the rooftops by the company.
Why are they not making these sort of statements in the press and industry?
There are two main reasons I can think of
1) the company BOD is incompetent in marketing its own products and need some better commercial experience (hopefully Karl/ Chris will now do a better job?) OR
2) they do not want to openly put down Tranilast as they are negotiating a deal with its producer Kissei (indeed, if they were negotiating with someone else it would seem to be better to openly highlight the shortcomings of Tranilast).
It could of course be both reasons, but the new BOD now need to quickly close a deal with Kissei or start pushing nxp002 to a competitor.

It seems that we just need the formal 004 results to confirm significantly superior efficacy of nxp004 and dare I say some movement on nxp002 deal and we should be at a lot higher sp. A deal on nxp001 would be a bonus.
I look in every now and then and catch up on the posts.
Dare I ask what the reference to 'lost data' in earlier posts in the week was all about?

With nxp002 being a specific IPF treatment shown to be more effective and without the terrible side effects of existing treatments and with oral delivery straight to the lungs for fast and better efficacy and we also have nxp004 pre-clinical pilot studies about to be reported (as a treatment for multiple forms of fibrosis in various human tissues) and we have already been informed that 'Initial data received is very promising and suggests NXP004 has a significantly superior anti-fibrotic action compared to currently approved therapies'.
So we are quite good in the fibrosis field!

Hi Soup I have managed to listen to the webinar.
Most of it was of little interest as it was about methods of measuring lung desease.
The Muhunthan Thillai section was, as you said, and described the different mechanisms affecting the lungs and ways to measure the extent of damage, etc.
However the final discussion section was of some interest.
A question by Jan De Backer about 'more and more reports of long term lung problems from covid having an IPF pattern' was answered by Muhunthan Thillai (from 1:04:20 to 1:08:30) who said that there is a big variability between patients and in the small sample they looked at it was the younger, initially healthy patients not just the older patients who are worse affected by fibrosis/ that can only use steriods currently to treat but that is not a long term approach and that need anti-fibrotic drugs to be used , but that these are currently not licensed for covid use. Some patients who were healthy before exhibit fibrosis and lung damage after covid recovery.
Suggest people listen to ensure the above is giving the correct gist.

That IPF and Covid are separate conditions and not related (IPF affects the airways and Covid affects the blood vessels) is confirming what we sort of know. However I thought it has been fairly widely reported that one of the many effects of severe Covid, by whatever the mechanism that causes it, can be severe scarring of the lungs (pulminary fibrosis). and there has been reporting that we’re likely to see more people with pulmonary fibrosis or persistent lung damage following ARDS caused by COVID-19.
Was there anything about potential treatments of that lung scarring?

Nuformix announces the resignation of Dr. Dan Gooding, Chief Executive Officer. Whilst he will step down from the Company's board of directors with immediate effect, he has agreed to stay until the end of June 2020 to conduct an orderly handover.

Dr. Christopher Blackwell, Chairman, will lead the Company as Executive Chairman until a successor is found.

Dr. Blackwell, said: "On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Dan for his contribution to Nuformix. We wish Dan all the best in the future."

With Dan having made claims on deadlines for 002 etc and possibly unsettling the deal, Fleur would be rash to say other than 'coming months', irrespective of how close or not the board think a deal is.
Also nxp004 timescales are probably a little more readily known (subject to resources having returned) and easier to discuss timescales with little risk of upsetting NFRG.
I think there is only so much we can glean from the statements given.
