We are without felt too with rosemary clay tiles, our windows are 174 years old (original windows) I kid you not, the casements have been replaced though, as they were upgraded to accommodate double glazing… 18” sold walls and 11.5 ft ceilings, it gets bl00dy cold…. Not cheap on logs :( no gas or foul drainage either, it’s like living in the dark ages, lol

Not a big house but we love it ….we are very close to the new forest, great for a spot of camping..

So what do you think the chances of a 7am RNS ?

I was under the impression that on a building of that era you should use lime?

You must know of some local builders that work on listed buildings that could give some good advice?

We had the top 8 courses on our chimney replaced along with a broken chimney pot, the guy used sand and cement and our house was built in 1847, I was expecting him to use lime ? I went up and clackered a load of Thompson’s water seal after he had finished to give it a bit of extra protection…. Probably the wrong thing to do?

I have been to Barbados and Saint Lucia, absolutely brilliant vibe, and excellent food :) with beautiful people..

Swimming with turtles was a pretty good memory, and seeing hummingbird’s within reaching distance…… oh and the mount-gay rum (Barbados)

I had a full English at selco builders merchants today, alas they don’t offer black pudding:(

I love the stuff!

Try black pudding and chorizo warm salad with tomatoes/salad leaves /celery / cucumber, with pomegranate and apple, then drizzle balsamic glaze over the top, it is absolutely out of this world… oh and don’t forget home made garlic croutons:))))

It’s a dish I often do in the summer…. And yes I am fat, lol

As I have said before folk should not be “too focused” on a deal before Xmas (but many will) as there maybe the need to sort out the paper clips so to speak? IMO the current SP represents a massive sale price, it could get cheaper if we don’t get news before Xmas, it would be a shame not to take advantage?

However we will need a Christmas present here very very soon, or Suzy will loose credibility, but I honestly believe she will pull a deal out of the bag imminently, it just could run into January?

I did “listen” to you some time ago and did a bit of research on SNG and I invested a reasonable sum “for a rough carpenter”… so thank for that..

I “genuinely” feel you could do worse than put a few vouchers in here, you cannot compare the new valirx now, to the valirx of the past, imho…

Do a bit of research tomorrow, you never know could change your opinion? it would be great to see you as a positive “share holder” and to see you rewarded…
