I’m 50 and there is no chance of me being permitted to do similar on a building site without a full risk assessment and method statement , I would have to use a class “A” ladder that has been inspected and has a serial number along with an “in date” certified fall arrestor & harness… I will also need to be fully insured and be wearing a hard hat safety boots and a hi vis vest/ gloves and safety glasses….ffs

I was trained to use only hand tools as an apprentice, the Stanley pump screwdriver and the hand drill, most folk wouldn’t have a clue, not to mention how to shoot a door in with a jack plane..

As technology moves forward, quality takes a back seat…
