Carnival's P&O, Cunard cancel cruises until August

(Sharecast News) - P&O and Cunard, both of which are owned by Carnival, have cancelled all cruises until August amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Cunard President Simon Palethorpe said: "These are extraordinary times and this global outbreak continues to challenge Cunard and the travel industry as a whole.
"We would love nothing more than to bring our fleet back in to service, and give our guests the holidays they deserve and long for, but with the lockdowns and travel restrictions in place around the world, this is simply not possible at this time."
Guests booked on cancelled voyages will automatically be given a 125% future cruise credit or have the option of a refund, Cunard said.
Carnival first announced on 16 March that it was suspending trips for Cunard, Princess Cruises and other divisions. Having initially said that it intended to restart journeys on 11 April, the company announced again at the end of March that the suspension had been extended to 15 May.
