Proposed Directors of Tirupati Graphite explain why they have requisitioned an GM. Watch the video here.
The White versus Silver name - plus the app and all the other stuff, being premium airport based etc etc - is a massive clue that White Car is basically Silver Car but with Teslas.
https://techcrunch.com/2017/03/30/audi-to-acquire-rental-provider-silvercar-to-expand-its-mobility-services/ "Audi plans to acquire Silvercar, a U.S.-based car sharing startup that was founded specifically to address the high-end airport rental car market. The company’s fleet is already made up exclusively of Audi A4 cars, so it’s not exactly going to be a dramatic upheaval in terms of Silvercar’s offering. Audi also already has a minority stake in the company, since an investment it made in the smaller company back in 2015. Austin-based Silvercar has also boosted its North American presence to 15 different airport locations since that investment, and the goal of the acquisition is not only to continue to grow Silvercar’s core operations, according to Audi, but also to expand Audi’s mobility services offerings in the U.S. market in general. Already, Audi offers Audi on Demand in certain markets in the U.S., which provides white glove short-term rentals to travelers on-demand. The pickup of Silvercar, which has around 150 employees based in its Texas HQ, seems to be Audi’s shortcut for accelerating those mobility plans, and possibly also for giving them a central brand around which to coalesce."
"Audi plans to acquire Silvercar by expanding its minority share to 100 percent. The U.S.-based company has successfully specialized in digital services for flexible vehicle use in the high-end market segment. In the future, Audi and Silvercar intend to cooperate closely to expand the range of mobility products and services offered in the U.S. In addition to the core business of Silvercar, both partners also plan to further develop the successfully launched Audi mobility services in the U.S. market. The acquisition is currently subject to approval from the applicable regulatory authorities. “Audi and Silvercar share the same vision,” says Dietmar Voggenreiter, Board Member for Sales and Marketing at AUDI AG. “We want to open up a new, flexible way to access mobility for our customers while offering premium quality in every respect. Now we are joining forces and, together, are driving our initiative for innovative mobility services forward.” At the center of the Silvercar portfolio is an exclusive rental car service at U.S. airports. The start-up, founded in 2012, is known for its seamless customer experience and exceptional service levels — from reservations to vehicle return via mobile app. The Silvercar fleet consists exclusively of silver Audi A4 models and received the “World Travel Award” as North America’s best rental car service in 2015. In recent months, Silvercar has significantly expanded its market presence to 15 locations in the U.S. The company, headquartered in Austin, Texas, has about 150 employees. Audi has held a minority share in Silvercar since 2015. Since the beginning of their partnership the companies have collaborated to deliver Audi shared fleet in the U.S. market. This Audi service for intelligent management of company cars began U.S. operation in 2016. In addition, with Audi on demand, the Four Rings offers customers in San Francisco the option to flexibly book via app their preferred Audi model for the duration they wish. Audi and Silvercar intend to work in close cooperation to develop the range of mobility services in the United States for both brands. For this purpose, Audi plans to acquire all shares in Silvercar. The companies expect approval by applicable regulatory authorities with the transaction concluding in the first half of 2017. "
It looks like White Car is copying Silver Car (the Audi version of the model) Audi recently bought it out so that they have control of it. I guess the thought process is that Tesla would potentially do the same - especially so as to raise their visibility and profile in the UK (versus the US). https://www.audi-mediacenter.com/en/press-releases/audi-seeks-acquisition-of-silvercar-inc-a-mobility-technology-company-based-in-the-us-7506
Cacher - while I agree that investment in end user cos won't necessarily give much intelligence as to how to dig up a hill in PNG, the simple "why" to Whitecar is that RGM think they'll make money from it. Care hire is immensely scale able (given an injection of capital) and WC is at the cusp of being profitable at the company level - always a good entry point for an investment. Plus there's the right to 20% stakes going forward with the Chinese contacts. That's an intriguing comment in the RNS. Yes it's a bit off-piste but if it can turn a decent buck then that's what rgm should do. Plus, those of us who are shareholders might be able to wangle hire discounts :)
Booboo You're still £190k away from your claim (currently unsubstantiated) that Andrew takes about £190k in addition fees from his non-RRR and non-RGM directorships. (The companies you flag are ones where RRR or RGM are investors) That's a serious accusation to make on a public forum, so I would suggest that you really do need to back it up with evidence (eg a link). Or are you just picking random numbers in order to mud-sling? Links please.
Zumore - you seem to be suggesting that you think Andrew is committing fraud (by double-claiming expenses). Before I respond, can I confirm that's what you're saying? I know you're adept at saying "wouldn't you agree it would be terrible if Andrew ate babies alive and printed the RGM annual report on their dried skin" etc but do try and be a little more direct if you're going to mudsling. Even to just make life easier for the lawyers :)
His LinkedIn page says Greatland Gold, not Greenland. You were wrong. And if you want to do research, try the regulatory filings like Companies House?
You're the one saying he's being paid £190k in additional fees. Not me. With, so far, zero evidence. Feel free to crack on booboo
So that's two and neither are paying Andrew a fee. Have you got any evidence or links to show how much (if any) Andrew is taking from other Directorships? So far you've shown zero but are accusing him of taking about £200k in extra fees. Might I possibly gently suggest, in a friendly fashion, that this figure is just a random number you've picked out of the air and isn't actually true? I'm happy to be proven wrong but I'm not the one making these accusations booboo - you are. Links please.
Here's the easy source: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/officers/Y9rQzmO_8ROIy_Pv6N51wJuNzV4/appointments
Sigh. Let's do this one by one shall we? First, Greenland Gold. I assume you mean Greatland Gold unless someone has miraculously found gold in that country. He's not a director of GGP (left 18 mo ago) Here's the text: GREATLAND GOLD PLC (05625107) Company status Active Correspondence address Third Floor, 55 Gower Street, London, United Kingdom, WC1E 6HQ Role RESIGNED Director Appointed on 24 May 2006 Resigned on 14 August 2016
You've got £190k of alleged fees to evidence booboo. Let me help. Melville Bay (private holding co for some Greenland exploration assets). According to CH no fees were drawn by any Director. That's one down. You've still got £190k to go booboo - your turn!
How much is he receiving in salary as a Jupiter director? What other directorships are you referring to?
Booboo I think you may be getting alightly ahead of the facts. We don't know if SK will get fees for being a WC director. Since it's a RGM investee co you would argue that task of being a WC director should come under his role at RGM. As for Andrew's alleged "£500k" from his directorships ... could you point me to the evidence that Andrew receives fees for these other directorships (all of investee cos of RRR and RGM)? He gets around £300k from the two TopCos so you're saying he gets £200k from fees from these other cos? If so, I'd appreciate a link to the details of those, please. Thanks.
Other than his executive director positions at RRR and RGM, what other salaries is Scott K drawing?
That's tongue in cheek before anyone gets palpitations!
Don't rush for me. Btw Vodafone do an excellent large-key 'silver surfer' phone that might help mobile text entry. I'll buy you one if you like? It's bad enough seeing MrMagic run out of counting-fingers without seeing you struggle with a keyboard :)
Lies? Yes/no Why the timidity?
Joebop: did Andrew put any 'mistruths' in the RNSes? In your opinion.
