Its costing $335000/day to store oil on a vlcc. To my estimation it's about $5/bbl per calendar month. That's expensive storage capacity. Cant see producers paying for that for long before shutting in production.

Banks would be stuck with a lot of companies that no one would want to buy, this isn't the same as taking control of a company here or there and slicing it up and looking for bids in hope of recovery some of the debt when commodity prices are ok. Uncharted waters now.
