If you bought into a company that you believe will do well, and the sp will rise, then this is a minor blip.
Review again at the end of the week. It was a little unlucky if you bought in just before the fall...

Aftab has increased his share count by 6m to 52m total.
He has retained his 5% interest in the company.

But this drop was always going to happen.
Just as it will happen again in June/July(?) when they convert the remaining tranche option(s)…

If you believe in the business model, BoD, sector, and future potential of WDC then you should be confident of your investment. Maybe even see each drop as an opportunity to top up.

I really think people are overestimating Align way too much. They had a small stake (mainly because they got paid for their services in shares), and sold out of a company when the price had risen to a level they were happy with. The pumping etc. means nothing. Most investors won't even know who Align are - I didn't until they were paid in shares and this BB started posting Twitter links...

In my opinion, Align has had very limited, very insignificant impact on this sp.
And the rise prior to this dilution was equally not impacted in a tangible way by Align.

They had the option of 4x tranches of £200k. Unless they have already taken some of this? Can't remember...

RB - I am removing trading sentiment and stop losses etc. from my day end sp prediction... Purely based on sp prior to dilution, the additional 200k shares are a dilution of 25.3%.

It was expected that WDC would convert the option tranches, surely...
And the option for another £480k (plus penalty payments) @0.25p so another c.300m shares will probably play out as well (in June/July I believe??).

The positive from this is that the sp was rising prior to the dilution. I expect the sp to finish today down relative to dilution.
If the sp ends higher than 0.325p/0.33p it is a positive signal...
If the sp ends lower than 0.325p/0.32p then it may be time to sell...

This volatility won't be driven by Align selling...
There is something going on in the background as well. My guess is the final EHGOS sell - MMs walking the Bid down... Wouldn't be surprised if Aftab buys some more - akin to the last marriage of RNS.

This is going to be a huge trading day for WDC.

I believe there will need to be a general meeting and circular for shareholders to approve name change, no?
Also, in my opinion, I wouldn’t have thought DS would want to sign up any contracts under the WCI subsidiary... ergo, does that mean we will not get contract news until name has been changed?!
Thoughts?

My question is this, and I base this solely on my Oil & Gas minnow experience, is this a share that rises on anticipation then sells off heavily on news??!

Are the expectations on revenue and PBT gains realistic?

Joe - the stem cell business is a loss leader unfortunately. Look at the accounts, revenue of c.£60k and costs of over £2m... it is not a cash injector at all. BUT, with the board changes, the new business model, and hopefully some updates on contracts, we should see a stabilising of the stem cell business (or possibly a sale).

I am still confident that the stem cell business can be successful, and it could be a really big market in the future. For now, we just need to ride out the lows, and look forward to more RNS.

And of course, we have a fledgling media company with all the pieces in place, ready to reward... :)

Very few companies outside large profitable companies, tech companies, and some forward thinking companies would have any in-house software development staff - eBay et al rely on such staff so definitely have that skillset, and yet, they BUY Blue Prism software... how do you explain that?

I would estimate that less than 1% of UK companies have any in-house development staff capable of process optimisation.
If you are convinced that what Blue Prism do is so easy, then why are they growing so rapidly? Why are they retaining clients? Why are they retaining smart tech savvy clients that as you say could easily do it themselves??

Software development is not a core function of most companies. Agreed there will likely be in-house developers in large profitable companies, tech companies, and some forward thinking companies, BUT if you look at the clients Blue Prism has your argument falls flat on its face (i.e. Lloyds, Accenture, eBay, EY, Heineken, O2, Siemens to name a few).

And you say companies will outsource - well that is Blue Prism's business model??!!! They rely on companies wanting to outsource to improve business process...

I would agree it is management who make the investment decision. But my opinion is that most companies don't have in-house developers who can 1) identify a better process and 2) have the skills to develop a macro...
Most companies will have an IT department, mostly junior staff who manage a software system, not programmers or developers.

I think you are overestimating the capabilities of companies.

I have one question - if it was possible to enhance business process through an Excel macro flow process, then why do BP have so many sophisticated clients? Why do they have repeat custom?
Surely, if it was such a simple task then these companies would do it themselves, no?
