I agree DM when you watch the bits where he refers to funding and the JV he clearly explains they would not be doing the things they are doing without being confident of the financing.
Sounds like he has got more than 1 option as well.
One want to take the lot , probably someone like New Age or Vaalco Energy
and a couple of others what a chunk. We will probably get more value from a couple of smaller
players but this is more difficult to tie up the timing. Again he say this a couple of times.
IMO the delay in the Licence renewal set the Farmout back by 4 months of so but this has also
given more time to those providing the capital. Now we seem to be moving full steam towards
the Farmout and then drill.
Don't forget we still need to see the full Geo Survey results before anything can be signed.
My money is very firmly on New Age as out 48% partner for the Thali Block.
It is impossible to guess which two junior Independents may want a bit each but with this option
so I will not try

The trading here since the survey ended (don't forget official results are now overdue), in the run up to and post the JA updated tresentation suggests something has turned for the better here.

Official survey results will lead to a Farmout being announced IMO.
Nobody will hand over millions on a nod of the head, yes you may signal your intent to proceed
but only when the document is in sight.
It is interesting to note that Asher in his presentation referred to this kind of delay before when talking a about the Cameroon license extension. Although TRP had been verbally informed the license would be renewed farmout discussions had to be halted until the document had been received in early Jan. I would imagine the same applies with the survey report, nothing will be signed until this has landed. As AussieBattler has already suggested JA could have been expecting
to announce some higher impact news but has been frustrated by some last minute delay. It could literally be anything.

As I said on a different forum yesterday (it was quite here in the morning) I think that the driller we have chosen for the NJOM-3 appraisal well, Phil Church from Bedrock Drilling, is no coincidence.
He is New Ages (our 50/50 jv partner in S.Africa) preferred driller for the Cameroon where they have recently been expanding. This must put New Age in the hot seat for Thali jv IMO

Scruffee I presume by five figure divi's you are referring to the monthly free cash flow accruing to TRP even then it is a little light. Did JA mention the possibility of paying dividends from the Thali project to shareholders or not.
15p implies a market cap of £165m and the only way I can see that in the medium term is IF the Njonji structure holds the 36m increased reserves which implies JA has a good idea of what is there.
I remember the had a fault expert look at whether the fault at the lower interval was sealing or not.
If you are able to I and other significant shareholders (for PI's) are most interested in anything you gleaned. I assume nothing was inside info otherwise you would have been prohibited from picking up more!

Jim I noted your comments re TRP not being in the Walvis Basin however the slide you posted a link to clearly shows 1911 15-1, which is in TRP's block, to be in the Northern section of the Walvis Basin.

The next couple of months are all about the Cameroon.
Farmout coming soon. The sp will be closer to 1p before
news drops it is announced, as there are leaks all over the ship.
I have a strong feeling it will not be long to wait for news here.

Elsewhere in Namibia talks were active in the 3rd and 4th quarters
last year but JA thinks they are awaiting the results of two important
wells and the multi client seismic which has recently been completed.
