God I need some good news; would be nice if it came from Drumz.....
And about buying now? f I had any spare money to invest in Plus right now I would (and I'd really consider selling some of my other holdings if it goes under £13 - missed it last week sadly, when it did so.)
I don't think they take the other side (like others do) - it's been the age-old conundrum/argument on this and advfn's board. Plus never hedge (which, as you will know, has it's advantages and disadvantages) as far as I'm aware. I think, from memory, a lot of people got their knickers in a twist a couple of years ago about this very fact (when customer profit didn't go Plus's way, and everyone got upset because they didn't hedge). Perhaps this time, that lack of hedging might work in our favour. note the word might.....
I think it's the wider geo-political context (and uncertainty) that's having an effect on the share price - think investors are worried that the housing market will cool (or rather mortgage-lending might tighten, at exactly the same time that there's a potential recession - note the stagflation articles prevalent in the press recently - on top of the increase in literally everything - having an effect on affordability and thus Inland's ability to sell their product at profitable levels......which, combined with the £100mill debt.....suddenly things aren't looking so good at INL. That's my take on things. I'm a long term holder of INL and even I am questioning the rationality of my investment.
I'm guessing it's a sale...but there's no news? Wonder what's going on?
I can never get my head around the fact that Plus's share price drops like a stone the moment something bad happens.......when any savvy investor knows that bad stuff happening is absolutely wonderful for Plus as it investors choose these opportunities to risk their money on Plus's platform.....
Telegram or Telegraph? :)
So I'm on here everyday......checking to see if anyone else has posted.....being deflated at both the share price and the lack of comms (the last RNS didn't really say anything material - it was a bit like me telling my English teacher that I've written a brilliant essay.....but I've not actually handed it in yet - quite a curious rns actually). I can't understand why the share price continues to trend downwards (although in hindsight, when it does eventually move, I'll look at .55p as a time when I should have bought more.....) Surely we're due a material update soon?
If it gets to 4p, I'm selling other holdings to pile into this one.
If buying price falls to 5p (I'm quoted 5.5/5.6p on HL) I'm buying too.
More buys than sells.....but the price keeps dropping.....can't understand why? Anyone know? Or heard anything? Last formal RNS gave good news (in a vague sort of way - no specifics etc). Things can't have changed that much since then can they? - 6 days ago or whatever it was. Recent.
Just seen the news about Gladman being acquired by Barratt - INL might be on the list of housebuilders too imo.
Just a small comment on this morning's update....'This is part of the Group's strategic land portfolio, where land is held via discount to market value options.
The Group expects to secure consent on a further four strategic sites in the course of this calendar year.'
What they mean by this is is that once planning is granted the planning permission is valued and given a residual land value. Inland will have done a deal whereby they only pay between 80-85% of the residual (or open market) land value. They also get their planning costs back as part of this type of deal structure (although there are usually caps in place). If a site gets planning it's a real boon - their profit is calculated into the residual land value calculation and then they get a discount on top and some planning (or all) costs back too......
And suddenly there's more action than we've seen for what seems like years. Perhaps word has got out that the Acuity Risk Management purchase is a really, properly, astute investment.
Yeah - massive potential - and finally, after all these years, we might actually hear of some good news from ARM .....and whisper it but KCR could show some improvement too.
I've bought more.....and it's come up as a sell on here......interesting......perhaps the other 'sells' are actual buys perhaps? Looking back I've been buying this share for years and years......the most I've paid for it is 2.95pence when it was energiser.....so far all I've done is buy on the way down.......hopefully this will be the start of seeing it go up........pray for a rise!
That's the question. I really feel this is going to fly.......at some point......thoughts anyone?
Here's hoping that 2022 sees KCR move forward.
I think the UK interest-rate rise will have wrong-footed alot of traders....which should be good news for Plus.
Anyone have any idea when the next update is? I get the feeling that things have definitely ramped up since the last one and it'll be great to hear of what the raise was for too (they must have a target in mind, even if it was to buy acuity risk management outright or increase the investment there). Keen to hear other's thoughts.
