This is actually the most encouraging RNS since last September. 15 drills rigs dosn't mean they are finding less. Obviously they are add more resources and encouraged by their results. BUT, Its all about being taken out and market obviously thinks there is no rush on this .
It's just one of those stocks that your friends will be ****ed you didn't warn them about.

Canada is up 15% but the stock has no liquidity here.. Is trading at .53 CAD on 17 000 shares .. market maker has stock 1 by 1. .53-.54. It should trade through .60 tomorrow

I think the delay in PEA was based on the fact that the Gov't had not released their mining policy update. This in my opinion was being negotiated and SOLG was probably involved in the negotiations.

As far as using $3.30 as a CU price, I don't think this is far off. Coppers price will fluctuate over the next 30-40 years and I'm sure the average price will be far higher. They could be more conservative but I would think they are using a number that is accepted by the industry.

Been a long time coming. Great to see this document out!! I agree that the CC is part of the road to de risking Alpala and increasing Ecuador's reputation as a environmentally conscious mining jurisdiction. GLTA

At the end of the day Ecuador is reinventing itself and this process will have bumps. As the mining minister said at a speech I witnessed. These types of challenges have to be fought. In this process there is risk and there is transformation that will determine the path of the country. Negotiations about who gets what are part of this. Local communities will fight for their share as will federal interests. This is part of the mining business. Another bump in the road to Cascabel being built out. It's a bumpy road but Cascabel will go forward. How the $$ flow may have to be further negotiated along the way. GLTA

I'd put my money on the shorting of the stock. The fact that one person can mount a challenge like this and affect SP that much is destined to become corrupt. This really is absurd

The reason SOLG has been trading at .38 p range over the last 5 months is that there is still political risk within the country in regards to mining. The market understands this and hence we have been trading at a great discount (to our frustration). This sudden move really is just an extension of the risk associated with Ecuador and it's acceptance of becoming a mining mecca. You have to believe that they will embrace a mining economy to be invested here. Sometimes this is a painful road. GLTA
