I thing the Gov't probably is in negotiations with most of the majors regarding these policy documents. I'm sure there is a lot of back and forth that both sides need to find fair and accepting by the electorate.

I'm convinced that everything is on hold until Gov't mining policy updates. This is an important aspect to Cascabel and not releasing drilling info or PEA is prudent until we know what this policy looks like. Everything seems to take way longer than it should in the mining business. Gov't and Corporations seem to always be in negotiations and Corps are quite savvy at waiting out Govts.

Everyone is waiting on Ecuador to release their policy on mining. Nothing is happening, RNS wise, until there is further clarity on what Gov't fees and regulations look like. Until Gov't releases (which was due late February or 2 weeks after PDAC = March 21st ish) I don't see any movement from anyone. No PEA or corporate actions until this is released...

I still think we are waiting on Ecuadorian Gov't to release it's newest regulation policy. I don't thing SOLG is waiting on anything other than this. Waiting to see what they dealing with before any PEA or updated resource estimate is probably a shrewd move on NM's part. JMHO

This is all posturing... BHP, Newcrest will never let it get to feasibility .... They are both getting taken out this year..

At the end of the day earn in agreements are how larger companies get their foot in the door on mining assets. That's the way mining investments work. Insinuating that CGP does nothing is a useless argument and against how capitalism works (property ownership and rights). If you love the SOLG story you should probably also own CGP. It's a valuable asset that will be taken out by someone and not owning will only give you regret down the road. I own both and believe they are a very exceptional opportunity to build wealth. GLTA

Nedk. CGP doesn't have to come up with their fair share. The agreement states that their fair share will be paid by mine revenues. They will be carried to that point at Libor + a small fee. Anyone implying that they have to come up with $$ is trying to deceive you.

Irwin is not bitter. He just disagrees with Mathers approach to a partner, shareholder and discoverer of Cascabel. Go watch some youtube videos on Irwin. He's a stand up guy who doesn't agree with any BS. One of the reasons I invested in both SOLG and CGP is because of his opinions which I value.

Addknnt. They don't want to show their hand. I'm sure there have been discussions and assumptions about what Gov't will announce. Maybe they need to trust that Govt will do what they say and not change anything due to economics of Cascabel

I think it's prudent to wait on Ecuador Gov't policy statement. This could have implications that affect the PEA and waiting for it's arrival is what I believe is happening. Otherwise there would have also been some drilling results released as well.

2. PEA
3. Updated drilling results

Should be a great week as long as elections go well

The problem with getting out is when you miss..... you really miss.... this is too big of a story to leave yourself with no shares.... I can see trading a piece... but to actually have no risk on is when you miss the real move. It will me sudden and devastating for those on the sideline who loved the story but tried to make a couple of $$ here and there.

I'm feeling like the interest on Ecuador mineral wealth is coming to a boil here. This may be forcing the hands of many majors to do deals before it gets way to expensive. I believe waiting will only be to the detriment of those sitting on the sidelines. Coppers future supply issues are only adding to the predicament. It's going to get very interesting.

addiknt.. I agree quite fair. I was at the Minister's presentation and he emphasized that it is a very very small amount of protesters and that they should not be able to dictate the future of Ecuadorian policy in regards to a mining strategy that will benefit the majority of the population. He was very realistic with his optimism acknowledging that they are progressing but do face many frustrations along the way. GLTA

Well said Filthy.. Lets be realistic here. SOLG will never be able to get CGP. The price for a 23% interest in Cascabel will be far too enticing for BHP, Newcrest or another buyer. SOLG is not in a position to pay up for this asset. Newcrest is developing a strong relationship with CGP. Wouldn't be surprised if they come to some agreement regarding Cascabel with CGP. I'm sure there is lots of things going on and a lot of jockeying to gain advantage.

I'd be surprised if the Gov't or SOLG releases anything until after the outcome of these elections.. (just me speculating)
