After the Gherkin I bought much more and effectively pushed my average up to 70p + so I would be hoping we can at least get to current SP x 3 and current SP x 5 would be very satisfactory but an SP of £10 - £15 is delusional/off radar? I hope not and GLA.

tophat - is it not the point that treasury shares are already accounted for (share capital) and unlike ordinary shares as you've explained the t-shares have no voting/divi rights until they have been distributed? Good to see some new SP growth! GLA

PW is an impressive CEO but I think it is time for him to cut back on repetitive podcasts. Yes he is leading from the front, yes the co is 'making' progress and yes the co is doing lots of things exploration phase over for now, drilling is very much main activity but until such time PW/co can report more production coming on stream and/or more revenue, talking about campaigns and/or targets are beginning to grind. I suspect the market is also deciding to sit back and wait for something substantive to be announced and meanwhile the SP will just bob around.

Was in two supermarkets today in Northern Ireland.. No Irish beef or cheese on the shelves... Many products now carry a small flag stating the country or origin... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well I wish Bord Bia will take note and end that marketing masquerade of labelling produce (eg eggs, chicken etc) which originates in Norden Ire-land as Irish produce. Great win by Ireland, bring it on!!

Best of luck Torquay and you are going to need plenty of it with the ever growing presence of 'no frills' banking ( where the customer feels increasingly peripheral) in Ireland is poorly served and not much to differentiate between the two 'pillar banks', the distant third (tsb) is a 'basket case' both in terms of economic viability and more so dysfunctional retail banking. Still I would take any ahead of a Credit Union. An alternative option might be the Post Office, better opening hours, more services and better capital security than CU's and the PO's are planning to expand banking services.

Thanks for your post mrprime on SP performance, very revealing. Some things that jump out at me: -old management achieved better SP results with less investments than current management -this company is not delivering shareholder value, is it time for change, a new CEO? -the good times are behind us and -the longer we wait the more likely we'll end up winking in the dark! @muirfield I tend to take M-Fool articles (especially ones in which writers have no interest/shareholding in featured companies) at best with a pinch of salt. 'Looking cheap' is nothing more than ramping? Buyer beware!

Font-annoying take a rest!! you really are something else and you desperately need to get out more and travel around the country etc. Yes we are officially metric but there are plenty of examples of dual systems still actively applied today.

Ronjon - you might explain how a share buy back ending could stimulate a rise in SP? I would have thought the opposite (slow down in SP) a more likely effect?

muirfield, your commitment to the company is impressive and although I have been a LTH (> 10years) still a long way less than you. I have a sizeable chunk invested but < 10% of total portfolio but my disappointment with SP/Co performance remains high. I would not cope with a 25% holding in this share. GNC is becoming increasing dull and I fear the US investment will in the medium term prove a step too far. If I am wrong, my SP will gain? So in away I cannot lose. Fortunately we have great cos like ICGC who really put in a stellar performance and great divis to boot. Not wanting to offer any advice, but there are a dozen or more blue chips which left GNC in the shade 10 years or more back, and the gap continues to widen. Unless I see significant momentum in SP over next 12-18 months, I'll be looking for the exits. I strongly believe that co management is failing to deliver shareholder value. GLA
