selling out at £4.50 and buying back in (and more) at £2.97. Here for the divis and a long slow march to SP appreciation.

@apel - thanks for the heads up on INFA. It has crossed my radar a few times in recent weeks. The thing is I am already heavily invested in O&G (Hur, SDX and Sou to mention just a few) but I agree INFA is definitely very tempting in the near term.
have been watching this bob around for a while now at € 1.00 +/- and decided to buy in @ € 1.02. Fingers crossed and slow improvements in Qtr earnings should see good upside in SP from here.

@A1 - in a way it illustrates a strange version of diminishing returns, the more you sell, the less you make? Although you are making each time, the amount is increasingly marginal, but I guess it's 'different strokes for different folks'? Whatever one's preferred method of realizing gains, as a LTH, I prefer to hold back and sell when the time is right. Similarly when SP is falling, plenty of wisdom in selling out and buying bac at lower SP to average down. Trouble is not with the wisdom but lack of hours in the day to do such! Much prefer to buy 100,000 at lower SP and sell for less later! GLA
@Fontenoy - it is difficult for most people to comprehend the sense of 'Us and Others' which permeates the UK psyche. I agree 100%, will never acknowledge the obvious European heritage and will deny it to the grave. It is a form of homegrown 'Supermensch' mentality and though we all know the reality is much different. This attitude of being different ( a delusional belief in being better) is evident throughout the society, in school, business and sport. These latter day Supermensch however will use every excuse in the book whenever fate deals them a blow or results do not go their way. History has taught us time and time again, to be wary of UK politicians etc. Brexit is only the latest manifestation of imo a mostly delusional state.
I am not convinced by the company's strategy to now re-focus on UK market which is dominated by low margin business, a core channel of retail customers whose own 'bricks n mortar' high street business model base is increasingly under severe competitive pressures from online sales leading to more store closure announcements etc can only mean more risk and any significant medium term improvement for GNC SH's unlikely?
The poor executive leadership of recent years, together with mean divis and falling shareholder value means for me after 14 years as a GNC SH, it's time to get out now and move on to new opportunities.

Gizzy - you're just the latest seagull around here - squawking and bragging - and in my books both signs of a BS merchant. Just remember I've been a shareholder here longer than you and as a shareholder I can say what I want and when I want about the SP. You on the other hand can PFO and peddle your ROI crap elsewhere.
Many thanks Albi and Wulbert for posting the link to an excellent and informative video. The marvels of FPSO!
GLA
Gizzy - you sound like you've just joined SDX, and are already 'swallowing hook, line and sinker' ! In contrast, shareholders like me who remain invested for a lot longer than you, are no longer so easily blinded by the repeated corporate presentations, which is why talk of potential for more than 2 years, the line is beginning to run thin. Directors often receive options to buy shares (T&C's apply), sometimes directors buy also at market rates and yes sometimes they may receive some free as part of an incentive/bonus package. I doubt (but not sure) if any of the senior executives have been rewarded free shares (certainly not for performance but perhaps in lieu of pay?). I tend to invest and not trade which means I seek and expect capital improvements over time, and in the case of SDX the SP facts which do speak for themselves indicate no ROI, a situation which is likely to drag on for at least another year or more and as a shareholder it is disappointing. So rather than personalising the debate and questioning my investment strategy may I make a personal suggestion to you, refrain from commenting on how other individuals select investments and instead use the time wisely by improving your spelling etc.
noticed that there have been no Directors' share deals since Jul'17 - quite a revelation given all the consistent 'news' we've had from senior executives since then?
Little to get excited about here and even harder to remain interested.
there is an element of karma. Try as hard as they could, it was impossible to make a compelling commercial case for building another nuke plant and with no public funding, Hitachi pulled the plug.
As the BREXIT fiasco rumbles, one wonders what economic future lies ahead for the people of Anglesey who voted in droves to leave the EU. Karma's goin' to get you!
whilst the current SP is disappointing it's hardly sinking. I expect 2019 to a be a bumper year and with the suspension of services ex-Rosslare and the long awaited WBY coming into service ex-Dublin, it will be very interesting to see the impact on revenue and margins? There is also the new ship due in 2020 to service Dublin-Holyhead. All things considered, I believe the current SP represents a good buying opportunity.
I think (though do not really care) the DUP is out of step with large swathes of opinion not just within Northern Ireland but within the UK. Brexit whatever that means will almost certainly have far reaching consequences for the broader Union. The DUP are political dinosaurs both within the fragile Union and most certainly when the United Ireland comes into being. Though never in doubt, the question of when this will happen is increasingly most certain within the lifetime of most people currently living on the island. An unexpected positive Brexit spin-off?
much worse? It is reminiscent of the 2008 Banking meltdown in which shareholder value was vaporised. Who could have seen this coming? Much be a tremendous buying opportunity now?
Shakeypremis - just as any holder of the stock, I am free to express my opinion and your support/opinion is neither required /conditional. Stop hiding behind a veiled screen and as an SDX holder for 2 years +, I can say what I like (within reason). I express various views on various stocks I own, and readily admit not only positive views. Views are a function of circumstances. Go talk a walk in the park.
