I have no idea when the market will finally give credit where it is due but am confident it will do so in due course.

The slump is likely being exacerbated by low trading volumes over the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday period. Prices should rally back above $80 if vaccines are shown to work against the new variant.

We have all learnt that Saltfleetby is a significant project with many different moving parts.

First gas will generate cash for ANGS. But it will also establish the company's reputation as a project manager and problem-solver.

This should hold it in very good stead for pursuing its plans in, say, geothermal.

The truth is Angus's management have already won over the key constituency, the debt lenders, because it is the debt facility which enables the financing of Saltfleetby.

As equity investors, we all want to see the equity market won over, too. Imho, this will happen and, quite possibly, very soon, but it is less crucial for Angus's immediate term development.

In the longer term, of course, a more reasonable valuation of Angus's equity could provide it with the currency to undertake external growth (should it wish to do so and identify suitable acquisitions).
