re geothermal:

Angus have become convinced geothermal represents a commercial proposition.

Their approach is different to that of UKOG but, with their Saltfleetby natural gas project and Lidsey oil project, they believe geothermal will constitute the core of their profitability in the long term.

In May UKOG commenced a study with Ceraphi Energy Ltd to review the geothermal energy potential of the Horse Hill site and surrounding area. The results of the work are expected during Summer 2021. (from the interim report of 30/06)

It seems reasonable to assume that the parties would not have signed the Heads of Terms to enter into a JV announced yesterday if they were not convinced their project constitutes a commercial proposition.

It's a very polarised board this one (but there are a good number like it elsewhere!).

Some posters always tend to interpret everything in a negative manner, others always tend to interpret everything in a positive manner.

The result is that this is not the place to seek an objective opinion, everyone should come to their own conclusion on the basis of their own diligence.

My extract from the RNS of this morning was my understanding of the basis for the reference to an "unexpected major share purchase".

... Entering the DDSPP will not preclude the director from buying additional shares in the Company during open periods. The director will be able to enter a new DDSPP upon completion of an existing programme.

Not sure what you mean by "collectively", pennysworth, £1k every month over 12 months won't have much impact either.

It's not the amount that counts, it's the fact that the original RNS has been respected, the DDSPP has been activated.

Communication from the company is improving, that's the 2nd time very recently loose ends from RNSs have been tidied up.
