The government's strategy has taken longer to finalise than originally signalled.

Let's hope it proves to be coherent and doable.

Since then work has advanced on all 3 assets (which did not include either Brockham or Balcombe), suggesting that, imho, the prudential discounts for Lidsey and Geothermal can be reduced and the total figure revised substantially upwards.

It's a good (but loaded?) question.

Affordable eliminates nuclear, sustainable eliminates wind and solar.

What's left? Coal?

There remain a number of "ifs and buts", agreed, although their number is reducing with the passage of time and their resolution.
