Given their growth ambitions, I'm not sure reduction of the debt is necessarily a desirable objective.

I was thinking more in terms of rates and maturities.

I think we can anticipate some action on debt at some stage, given GL's financial background and the company's new, cash-generating profile.

Debt is a perfectly normal part of any growing business.

But present gas prices are Summer prices.

For those curious about the actual producible reserves at SLBY since it has been noted on lse via Singhie as potentially questionable.

SLBY has a long history of flow performance, pressure decline over time and related flow rates.

Dry gas recovery is generally far higher than more typical oil reservoirs, especially when there are good fractured elements within the field, giving added permeability.

This also means that you do not need to pepper the field with wells to achieve optimum drainage.

The decline & pressure performance should quiet easily enable a fairly accurate remaining producible reserves estimate.

If anything, it is likely to be higher for SLBY based on the infield production facilities and the ability to add a booster compressor later to counter reservoir pressure decline Vs production rates.

Yes it is a depleting field, but highly likely the remaining reserves estimate is achievable, if not improved.

PS: I reckon the cloud in the middle of the background sky in the last tweet of 11/05 has formed a "V" for victory sign - but I could always be mistaken :-)

SS has always run a tight ship - whether positive or negative, it is highly unlikely to leak.

There will be a price at which they are prepared to consider a bid but it is not in their interest or that of shareholders for them to disclose it.

Management would never provide an answer to that question, they would be jeopardising their own negotiating position.

Personally, think 3.00p might be a fairer market price right now.

But the market price doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the price of obtaining control of Angus - that would require a premium to be paid.

Too cheap in my opinion.

Both GL and RH made it crystal clear in their recent Q&A they consider ANGS to be undervalued (and, in all probability, substantially undervalued) at its present price.

Imho, they and their principal investors haven't gone to all this trouble to see ANGS snatched from their grasp by a marauding interloper at 3.50p.

Would expect them to fight very hard if somebody came along and proposed that price.
