Investor Q&A Hosted by VOX Markets

Following its AGM on 30 May 2023, Alba Mineral Resources plc (AIM: ALBA) will release a Q&A via VOX Markets.

Hosted by Executive Chairman George Frangeskides, the Q&A will provide an update on the Company's portfolio of 100% owned mining assets as well as an overview of recent progress at its investee companies including GreenRoc Mining Plc (AIM: GROC).

At least we all now know how things stand as of today.

Uncertainty as to the final outcome remains but uncertainty concerning current progress has been removed (for the present).

Given the range of prices covered by futures, it would be helpful if those speaking of revenues per month would specify which month (or months) they are referring to.

Finding oil is UKOG's primary objective! (although I can express sympathy with your plight).

They tried to make do with what was available. It didn't work. They've lost a bit of time. It's not ideal but so be it.

What really matters is still to come.

It looks as if they tried to make a false economy.

What is encouraging is that they have now recognised their error and intend to proceed with bigger perforation guns.

Nothing spectacular but GROC has moved through 5p to attain a mid-price of 5.10p .

They are sourcing bigger perforation guns.

There is, therefore, a delay but it's not evident to me why the share price has come off 8.1%. The risk/reward ratio has just improved.

If anything, I read it as positive, the partners clearly believe it is in their interests to secure bigger perforation guns.

From about 12:16 of the Q&A, Richard Herbert:

"There's some work we have to do on our geological model of Saltfleetby ... we want to have a very good idea of what the remaining reserves in the field are and what is the most efficient way to extract them to get the maximum value for our shareholders. So we are starting some work on the geological model to update it and part of that work will look at the opportunities that exist to drill further into the field ...".

They didn't really say they were open to offers, they said, effectively, that if they received an offer, they would be duty bound to consider it.

All share offer would be shares in the bidding company, so the number of shares would depend on the market price of the bidding company's shares.

It's why, on the reverse side, it would help Angus to get their share price up, so that they can be in a better position to make a bid themselves.

If you seek a friendly take-over, you need to start by obtaining the approval of management.

We had Sound Energy's efforts at the beginning of 2022. That was an all-stock offer and never got past Angus's management.

Either you accept the bid price or you don't.

Then it's a question of whether the bidder succeeds in its bid or not.

The bid could be an all-stock offer, an all cash offer or a mix of the two.

Given its tax carry forwards, I hope it avoids paying tax for quite some time to come (although there is always the Levy to be considered).

One thing that should happen in the next set of accounts is the establishment of a deferred tax asset given that the tax losses have now changed status and become recoverable.
