RE: Sonora1 Feb 2023 21:57
It is my opinion we will be told immediately this ceases to be the case:
"We are constantly examining possible legislative changes, and Gangfeng is ensuring that the mineral concessions remain legitimate. It is our current view that the Decree passed by the senate only impacts licenses, concessions, or contracts to be granted, NOT already those already granted, as is the case for the Sonora Lithium Project. Therefore, at this point, we do not believe there is a material impact on our joint venture areas."
Furthermore if the JV's are attempted to be sold below what we believe is fair market value, i.e. what someone else will be willing to pay for them, then we have a right of first refusal to exercise on behalf of said someone:
"The First USA contains certain other provisions relating to shareholder rights, with respect to the disposition of shares including any right of first refusal as well as put and call options, and those relating to non–competition, confidentiality and termination."
I believe there's a very decent chance we'll be rewarded quite handsomely, ideally in cash and royalty. The market clearly, and I mean CLEARLY, does not believe this - the market is not always right.
