I'm not sure what you mean @Dallas? The webinar was OK wasn't it? I particularly liked his explanation of where we are with San Luis. Especially the CSR bit. And the likely fate of the CLN. And only small funds required in the foreseeable future. Likely from a placing if EMH and or BCN don't recover (my interpretation)

The future implications have always been apparent @Dallas - why do you think we got them so cheaply, and DL stated it was a gamble all those years ago? If Yangibana North would have been amazing with the right chemistry, it would have been game on. Same for the other areas. You don't get cheap without bearing risk. As it happens, I think the Sonora JV gamble should still pay off. But we need an operating deal which sees full value out should the demand for lithium and its price take off in the coming years!

I can't deny that the potentially new JV's going forward seem better than the existing BCN & HAS ones - be that because we have a stronger hand now, or a weaker one then, or our BoD have learnt their lessons I don't know. But I certainly wouldn't conclude that DL negotiated the BCN JV's "badly" from @Kiran's words. There were options to take us to 49% but we decided (quite rightly in hindsight) to use the money raised to buy into BCN instead.

Fair enough @Dallas - I'm not sure how you conclude that it was DL's doing @Dallas "The JV's were negotiated badly (DL),". Don't make me defend DL now! We bought the Yangibana JV's - so I presume the terms preexisted DL's hand. And in terms of Sonora. BCN held their LV 100%. And I'd say it was a good job we decided to "defend" our (Mexilit) stake by upping to 30% in Megalit, or who knows where else BCN might have planned to mine in the area after their 100% LV runs out. As it happens, they are planning to mine the 30% Mexilit JV area - and we stand to benefit greatly from this should lithium demand rocket as I anticipate meaning the areas come into play much sooner and in greater volume than planned in the BFS ;-).

@Frankie. There should be 2 and 4 colours in San Luis. I forget which way round. Easy to find out though.

I am very positive about this share! Just that I'm not adding any more at the moment. i.e. I am a significant holder (in terms of my portfolio) that is currently not adding - at the moment, but there is all sorts of news on the near horizon which could alter that opinion

@Dallas on surrounding areas of mutual exclusivity "unfortunately the JV at Yangibana didn't have that". We have megalit around the mexilit project at Sonora. No such blocker at Yangibana. i.e. they can go off and explore wherever they please in the region. Around the 45 minute mark.

@Dallas - I thought he was talking about the Yangibana JV being negotiated badly which was something REM bought, not negotiated itself? No way I'm sticking up for DL though after his Elon mocking tweet. All hail the Musk.

Agree @degsie. But he doesn't half know how to undersell the potential upside. The $30m he kept banging on about is at $11,000 and for the very small part of the JV in the current mining plan. We are talking value to KDNC of many multiples of this if and when BCN announce an expansion to 50ktpa and beyond. ;-)

Good point @tomcat! In that respect it's interesting that Zinnwald is going doing the Fluoride route...

@Bannor - I don't believe BCN have ever claimed they have actually produced hydroxide at the pilot plant. They always seemed quite guarded on that front. At the time we walked away from Tesla or they walked away from us (or we walked away from each other!), there was some speculation that this could have been because we were unable to produce hydroxide directly from the clays. Directly being the key word. You can always produce it from the carbonate, but that adds extra OpEx. Of course we still don't know whether we can produce it directly from the clays, but I'd say the fact we have produced it in the pilot plant at all increases those odds to me - we'd be less likely to do so if we had to go through the carbonate route first IMHO.

Regardless of the speculation above, BCN is almost certainly in possession of a hydroxide (and other lithium materials) conversion flow sheet, and this has yet to be shared with its shareholders. No doubt partners and potential investors may have sight of it, potentially under NDA? And what its OpEx! ;-)

@addicknt - I believe you were only trying to be helpful (which I'm still grateful for!), but it wasn't half a shock to me when I heard what he said! LoL ;-) In terms of a CEO knowing if their share is shorted or not. Sure, a CEO can claim when it *is* being shorted as they only need evidence of one trade which is easy to obtain. But I can't see how they can claim when it *isn't* being shorted, as they need evidence that all trades are not short - which is (practically) impossible? This is what I was taking umbridge with, and why I continued to question whether he really said it. Which he didn't as it transpired...

As for the COE case, perhaps they are bound to silence for now, or perhaps something is due to be announced imminently! Either way, it's a bit odd for PS to say he has answered all questions when he didn't...

And if you (not you @Barksy!) don't know anything about Tony Seba. Here is a good recent starting place!

See the bar charts on Page 4 - you don't really hear much about that quite possibly important (to us!) revelation. And now doubly important in the light of news the Sonora can produce hydroxide.

Almost RNS worthy wouldn't you say? To my ears the way he talked about NextView almost sounded like that was part of another project, perhaps a hydroxide one which has been put on hold for now? But what about the all important OpEx and impurities? Keeping those aces (partially) up his sleeve for now, but for how long I wonder? No doubt if it can be produced there will be an estimate of cost. Could be industry changing - especially given this "revelation" from May:

I never realised the "fact" on page 4 of the most recent lithium bull. If this is true then it's possible Clay could blow brine out of the water on hydroxide production operating costs. One helluva of a closely guarded secret if so! ;-)
