RE: Just what was needed...9 Jun 2021 14:22
Porsche - poor you - disgruntled at the UKs decision to do what it wants. The issue is not with the company - its with the investors - despite the dividend growing every year over at least five years and EPS almost doubling - investors expected more and more and more and many just sold up and left. I, for one, think that selling down £7.5 billion of the business is really not wise given those were all rapidly expanding markets. They would have been better picking one asian economy and parking their resources there. A return of capital to shareholders is not welcome by me - would rather a focus on growing the company, EPS and dividend (regular). Handing back so much money instead of paying off debt or expanding the business makes this company less investible long term. As for Brexit rants of porsche - I'm glad I live in the UK, not China, we respect democracy and uphold the majority decision.
