George - the market is bonkers in the extreme... but the potential to get these near £2.20 has me licking my lips.... knowing that on the laws of economics, this company is undervalued by more than its market capitalisation.

The shorters drove it down by 16 pence to its lowest point in a desperate bid to shake the tree... and it bounced back with minutes to the last closing price.... 16 pence sounds lijke the potential dividend that RMG might announce come Wednesday... who knows.

My only regret was I took my buy order off for £2.25.... and didn't even see this this morning £2.20sss for more than a few seconds.

Can see this going to £2.50 today....

Falkland - there will be no mirage trades - I will post the number of shares before purchase. I think these are cheap at £4 let alone £3.

The share price rose in the run up to every other results day except this one. Shorters desperate to instill fear and I am firmer than ever. I have sold out shares in two other companies to buy more RMG.... on for a penny.

I have now put aside £50k - for resultd day. This is not like the run up to any results day - and I'm hoping to get in arpund £2.20. Now superbargain!

I did have some thoughts that the AA could become the next Carillion or Debenhams. However, having read their annual reports cover to cover and back to front, I am content its a very well run company with significant profits. Shorters only win when a company can't pay down its debts. AA has shown its more than capable of running a good company and credit agencies have given it a good credit rating.

I have added every week - undervalued is an understatement. Tesco and Sainsbury nothing like each other. Tesco overvalued relative to NAV - Sainsbury undervalued almost 90p based on NAV. Quality is much better at Sainsbury than Tesco. They are not comparable. Adding again next week. They definitely should not be cheaper than 30 years ago - ridiculous

bigsmoke - it could be more positive than we think.... but even if the target is slightly missed - I'm happy at these prices as it undervalues the company by 45% based on asset value of shares.... happy to keep adding.

2incarnated... thats not what credit agencies are saying. They have reaffirmed AAs credit rating. Do you see AA making a 300 million loss? Have they ever made a loss? No is the answer... That's why I consider them a good investment. If EBITDA grows again, watch the share price fly.

Falkland - I imagine if it were lower, they would have had to inform the market before now.... if its higher than 500 million, what should we expect?

We could see the share price go well above £2.40... imo... dyor.... or maybe it could head sub 1.00 (lol) or maybe it could stay the same.... or maybe... thats just it - Falkland - we dont know.

Price competitive could mean everyone is losing money. You are right, they are now focusing on margin protection - like I doing in my own business. That't why I am making good money. Chasing margin down is a mugs game. Royal Mail have a very bright future - 5% increase in postage and parcel pricing is a winner. Having assets twice share price is a winner

£2.20s when Royal Mail have cash balances of over quarter the market capitalisation.... and land probably worth almost the full value of the share price... I'll bring forward my buys to tomorrow if it does...

And direct mail tends to have better impact than email. Take for example postal surveys - response rates tend to be higher by multiples vs. e-surveys. I am a social researcher by background - have been for 20 years. Direct mail works - the only reason for the drop is GDPR - it will come back.

You are wrong about letters - most of their income is now parcels. Letters will diminish but will always be a part of their business. Sales are now well over 10 billion... Don't know about anyone else but I have an enormous amount of mail these last few months and not just election material. Parcel revenue made up letter revenue decline pound for pound...

More buys than sells... I'd like to say it was manipulation, but when you are free to buy this low, then it can't be....

Buys and sells almost in balance as people take perspective on this... interesting few days ahead - I've decided to hold my investment til results day. If what I read at 7.01 on Wednesday is to my liking, then I will be investing the £20k set aside...

Didnt answer it. what is the NAV of shares? I'm smart enough to know that that is a better measure of stability than a company haemorraging cash... I've been trading for 15 years - I think I know when Royal Mail has been oversold and taken for a ride by shorters. Whether it goes back up to what it should be takes time and patience.
