Mad as it may seem.....10 Jul 2019 20:13
I think most of us will be grateful for all this SP nonsense in the long term. I am to be honest. Because having first bought in October 2013 at 4.5p and all the way up to 28p (average 13.6) I didn't think I had a chance of buying lower. I have been 'all in' about 10 times and never saw a return from the 40's to the 30's on the cards, never mind low 20's. Another 1,982 and I hit a magical (for me) 200,000 shares. All in an ISA. Small beer to many on here and large beer to others I suppose. But way more than I ever thought I'd accumulate.
I'm 58 and I am never going to starve but this share will decide how and when I retire and the life I will live when I do. Knowing what I do about this Company and its prospects (virtually everything, I have been here a long time) had I not found it until 49p and invested I would be just as relaxed as I am currently. I do feel for anyone underwater but look at the big picture and trust your own judgment. I can't see any way it can fail to be the investment of a lifetime at anything under multiples of what it is now.
Opinion only.
