I don't get it me.24 Aug 2019 21:42
I don't know where to start really. Vanadium. What's that all about then? Sounds like a VW camper to me. Strengthens steel apparently. So they say. Half a percent makes it 30 times stronger and more able to withstand earthquakes they reckon. Haven't had too many of them in East Grinstead lately. If I'm honest. Which isn't very often in fairness. well, anybody dumb enough to believe 100 years of proven science gets all they deserve in my book.
That ain't all though is it. There's all this battery malarkey. Oh, oh, climate change, climate change, save the slug, pass the prosecco whilst people fry somewhere I've never been and never will because you can't get a full English and I ain't eating no foreign muck when I'm abroad. F**king liberty takers.
I mean, What harm is climate change ever likely to do to us? Seriously? I mean apart from melting ice and rising seas, extreme weather causing crops to fail and famine, water shotages and everybody dying from pollution or lack of water and no electricity or fuel when you use up the fossil fuels. Not to mention all the other nonsense spouted by people who actually know what they are talking about. Makes you laugh dunnit.
So this Bushveld mob. What's the story there then? Got a geezer in charge called Fortune. Is that an omen? (Great film) Well I can tell you right now, he's not the messiah. He may turn Vanadium into electrolyte but he can't do the whole water wine thing can he? Different league that is. He may be a very naughty boy. Anyway, they dig this Vanadium stuff up apparently. Shed loads of it so they say. Flog it to all and sundry so I hear. Bit like when I was flogging magic beans to that bloke capa.
So anyway, now this Vanadium stuff can be shoved into a large Duracell and power whole communities for hours on end with power generated earlier. It never loses power or catches fire or degades unlike lithium and is just as toodally pip decades down the road. Yeah like we were born yesterday. Just because it's true doesn't mean ....oh hang on.
So, these muppets reckon it can bring electricity to remote communities not on the grid by storing unicorn or solar or wind or some other imaginary energy generation technology. Level out power generated at one time to go 24/7 cover for everybody, reduce the requirement for fossil fuel generation and some other stuff I don't understand. (Most of it)
Do they think we are all clueless ? Seriously, who in their right mind would think this is going to be the biggest growth industry with the best product for the next decade (at least) and the ability to make a genuine change for the better to the entire world? Chateau pape de nerf.
Well, must be off. Got a real deal going down for some clockwork nuns.
