A personal viewpoint.13 Oct 2019 12:08
I’ve been invested in HZM over 2 years and attended the last two AGMs. I’m heavily invested in this stock (for me), so my comments will have an upside bias.
Having said that I’m appreciative of all those who post here. Clearly not so much Geng, but he has a viewpoint, even if I don’t always agree with it.
So after further review of the interview I’m bolstered by the questions and general response given by JM.
The AGMs have been useful to me as you meet first hand some of the Board (JM, David Hall, Owen Bavington and at the last AGM, Simon Retter). Personally felt the chaps were genuine and professional in approach. Granted I would have liked faster progress on the self imposed deadlines, but here we are and the drop from over 4p to below 2p allowed me to top up. (Nervously I might add, as regardless of the story this is after all an AIM stock).
Sure it would be good if JM had more skin in the game, but the real positives to me are:
1. Teck and Glencore Holdings
2. Having a Teck man on the board
3. 2 Tier 1 Assets addressing both Class 1&2 markets.
4. When Vermelho was announced and even now I feel no Value has been ascribed to it as asset.
5. Araguia is viable even at low Nickel prices, so clearly able to run long term. Add in the Sierra Do Topo resource and you can increase output and life time of Araguia substantially (IMHO).
6. More recently - The methodical approach to financing the project - Endeavour Financial Advisors and now Orion.
Personally don’t think the market understands the importance of Orion. It’s not just the money, it’s the degree of vetting they have done before offering up $25M. Ok some will say they got a good deal, but so have we. Look at their size and that they will I feel be further involved. A real vote of confidence I feel.
I have agree with the view that we might see Araguia go full steam (P1&2) with a major partner, especially if Nickel is stays around or above current prices.
Excited to see what the initial metrics for Vermelho are.
Good luck all holders.
