Agreed Steve. It would make little sense for them to increase their short given all of these rumours unless they had it on good authority that they were just that - rumours. Or they could be wrong....well at least I hope so!

Agree, it does still need funding and this will put a lid on the price in until then. However, this is the BEST possible decision that Amigo could have got from the FCA. It can be argued that it would have been the only realistic decision that the FCA could have taken as otherwise it would impact the claims pot, however, everyone knows that the FCA aren't exactly pragmatic. As long as funding gets sorted asap, the company can now legitimately decouple itself from legacy issues and move forward.

@pearls - I don't think that it justifies or directly influenced a sell-off today, but the post alone was pretty unprofessional. It appears that he desperately needs a "right-hand man" to help advise him, Gallemore (sic?) definitely wasn't that guy and Lord Allen doesn't seem to be that person either.

SS - Sofina were legally required to release the RNS as they went through a percentage. However, completely agree - the communication with non-institutional shareholders has been non-existent. He's definitely on the ropes Oke and his post suggests that he's doesn't like being backed into a corner. Oh well, time for him to put on his big boy pants and deliver actual value as opposed to pipe-dreams.

Looks like he's come in for some heavy criticism from shareholders and has felt the need to explain himself.

I found it telling where he has mentioned how the share award doesn't make THG "soft or deluded." Clearly these accusations have been levelled at him and it's hard to argue otherwise given the share price performance.

Looks like something is going on behind the scenes, hopefully whatever it is results in good fortune for shareholders

its not an exact science though Ramp, although I can understand where you are coming from. If this was an AIM stock/penny share, then yes I'd agree completely.

thats not correct Ramp - low liquidity doesnt mean it will not rise as much. What it means is that volatility will be a lot higher frp, larger spreads and corresponding movements in price - both up and down
