Agree, he raises some pertinent points. Frankly, it will be poor form if he deletes the message. If he chooses to post on social media, he has to accept that he is at the mercy of public opinion - good or bad. He can't just accept the "nice" ones.

Well there's definitely someone selling (or short selling)...I've seen a few 100k trades around the bid.

I think Kelso are more of a distraction than anything else. Put up or shut up time (again) for MM and the October results.

agree hh - i don't believe that apollo would have approached thg for ****s and giggles! and also agree that next phase can be particularly time consuming and expensive, hence it makes no sense to put offers out at the drop of a hat.

it appears that "the next phase" in terms of tabling a formal approach is the sticking point here, as no-one has really done so. i'd like to think that the gs was the only thing stopping this previously, now would be a good time to put that theory to the test!

HH - thanks for the response. I understand the etiquette side of this, however, this makes me feel that the bidders aren't necessarily serious in their approach.

The price has been depressed for some time now, there have been plenty of opportunities to buy stock under £1 a share. I said before, without the GS in place, there cant be any excuses from MM or the bidders now. If they REALLY felt that Nutrition/Beauty/Ingenuity separately (or THG as a whole) were undervalued, surely 70 odd pence is a good time to start making their presence felt. Apollo should be able to bid from October onwards too. I guess my worry is that if there are no bids for the divisions in the next couple of months (and the share price is still around the same) that would tell me that the so-called interest in the group is not reality. We are then at the mercy of MM to deliver outstanding results consistently, which so far has not been the case. Not trying to deramp or anything (still holding patiently) but just trying to understand all sides of the argument.

Here's a question. We all know that Matt never revealed the Apollo bid number. We have all speculated why: maybe it was too low and that would dent confidence in THG's value, or, maybe it was dramatically higher (i.e. £2-£3) and Matt felt that this would put a base on any takeover price that he may not have wanted to pay. Either way, we don't know for sure.

Question is....why did Apollo not reveal the details of their bid? For that matter, why has no suitor explicitly stated their terms, it's always "preliminary, non-binding, indicative, etc." Would welcome everyone's opinions on this

Manifesto - Neil a yes man, end of. There is no way that other firms would promote young people to such lofty positions within a short of space unless they were literally whizzkids. I dont think he or most of the others who have been given senior titles are world-beaters - they are just average people who will support MM no matter what happens, and that's the exact type of people that he wants.

Long story short - they have the same opinion as most of us. i.e a lack of a strategic update and no info given on Premium listing.

Here's the point though. Instead of Kelso writing these posts, why didn't they turn up on the investor call and ask the question there and then? They look like amateurs writing on LinkedIN.

I did find it odd that he (for all intents and purposes) announced that he would be primarily answering the questions. I know that he generally answers the majority of the questions on such meetings, but he's never actually stated that he would do so before.
