Apologies but I don't do price predictions, I'm only really interested in risk/reward/value/debt.

In this case you have other things which are directly in play which make it a lot harder to gauge (takeover/rampers v short positions and mischief).

I don't personally think that at the moment the company is a compelling buy because of the outdated business model, the lack of profits, the cost of buying it and the FCA.

I agree that if you want a lot of easy to get hold of customers and can refinance the bond whilst offloading some of the expensive branches it may be compelling for somebody else though.

I don't short shares but even if I did I'd be long rather than short at 2.26 - at the moment though my preference is neither - albeit I'm still hoping to make back my small losses and find the whole thing quite interesting..

Look at the names of regular posters changing over the last few weeks.

It's only the paralysed by fear crew (mainly cud) that are forced long term holders and will hold and ramp/moan incessantly. Most of the others are full of sh 1t and have either sold up and left or are still here and day trading. It's been fun watching the pump and dumpers join in and out ramp the rampers and then leave this week.

You can trust a few on here to play with a straight bat but not very many.

The problem is when you’re wrong on stuff like this there’s often more than money at stake..

If it gathers serious traction and looks like it can clear regulatory hurdles then the shorts will be completely stuffed.
I was worried that the lack of volume and no more buying from the majority PI’s who’d lost money (including me) would allow them to escape scot free.

I suggested to a mate to buy this morning as it couldn't seem to break through 2 pounds and I suspected with no Illbet etc. the shorters were running out of ammo. I wouldn't have loaded up but was willing to get back in with some punt money - now i'll have to wait and see what transpires.

Thanks branson. I do manage money but what I do for clients is very different to what I do personally with around a third of my chips. Two thirds will eventually be in collectives when I feel that value is starting to return but definitely not yet. I'm not a fund manager though..

Huge correlation between illbets posts and Whitebox short positions in TCG/SXX and MTRO. Even down to the timings of the increase/decrease of those positions - and rather worryingly when he turned positive and bought some shares...

I made loads on the banks a few weeks ago and have lost it on shorting the S&P and going long on the VIX. My timing was wrong but I've been adding rather than subtracting so on the basis that it doesn't go up or down in straight lines I will get it back soon enough.. I'm mainly in cash waiting for better value across the board so will continue to short DAX/S&P.
As I said if they hadn't made it personal when I was just trying to provide balance I would have been long gone.

With a massively declining high street retail business model a company has decided to open up a store in Bath.

12,500 sqft of retail space, so pretty big, 675,000 pa rent, 179,000 pa business rates, service charge c 24,000 pa. plus staff, plus fit out.

So, probably around 1 million to fit out and 1.5 million per annum to keep it running.

dogger should have taken the Warren Buffet sage advice given on here to sell Metro and buy EUA. 70 - 35k on Metro then 35 -12k on EUA. All in a days work. Absolute F Legends... !!!!

Trouble is at 66 and not having spent much time in the real world it's a steep learning curve.
