Whilst there is a correlation due in the EML share price, parity will not be achieved as EML have a cash burn through admin expenses. Being the lazy coot that I am I've not bothered to look through my research (ahem) to see what it is. At some point in the future EML will have to sell shares in order to balance the books. Are EML merely a vessel to keep some directors in a decent financial position? I'd say that 2/3rds value of net assets probably represents a fair risk to the market and am not really expecting parity to ever be achieved. Any one else have this reservation?

Wasn't sure where to post this but, did you get in to SQM in the end for a Lithium play. http://www.marketwatch.com/investing/stock/SQM Results are out in August and the SP has really hit a wall recently, way off year highs despite good interims. I sold out some time ago at $37.50, and it's not hit there since, but was thinking of piling back in on the next retrace if it hits $35.00. Beginning to question Lithium battery cars and wodnering if the real play is solar cell roofs, especially considering the recent fashion for glazed roof convertibles.

I made a cardinal error here and bought on the basis of a post made on here. Almost 50% down at the moment, more fool me! I was thinking of cashing in something else and buying more, to bring my average within touching distance or it'll need to be another one for the bottom drawer

This has been a much better play recently. I sold out at 180p, back in at 140p and now targetting a rise to 300p

I'd offer odds of 7000003248934823423480/1 that this will be back at 40p before 9am

I predict a profit, growth in revenue and strong cash position with no debt. And the share price to stay at 40p

We also invest knowing the risks. If I'm completely honest the 'tips' I've followed from fjp are currently collectively in the region of 6k down but I do not hold him responsible, why should I. My problem is an inability to follow trends and charts and so I must expect to see my holdings in the red as well as blue. They're being built for the future and so I'm not too fussed about daily movements (even though I appreciate that fjp can trade the same shares multiple times daily) We choose to invest or not based on research we do, if we're lazy and follow tips from friends then it's done at our own peril.

I'm well done on AST, no point worrying today about something that will bring fortunes in the years to come. IMHO of course

You're correct, call it tranche buying or averaging down, but it only really applies in a falling market. If the share's due to rocket then it's a case of sticking it all in before it goes.
